Нужно перевести документ, который называется "предложение о приобретении". Документ пишется от лица продавца (т.е. продавец предлагает покупателю приобрести). Покопавшись в Интернете, я заметила, что в документах, которые называются Purchase Offer или Offer to Purchase, предложение как раз делает потенциальный покупатель. Имеет ли мне смысл менять здесь название на, скажем, Offer to Sell?

Can't get to Discussion (blocked by Natalie), so writing it here, re. "bid proposal". In common commercial/business parlance, again, bids are proposed by buyers: vendors INVITE bids rather than proposing them.

Можно ли данное предложение расценить как коммерческое предложение? Судя по описанию, так оно и видится. В таком случае, quote (или quotation) - весьма распространенный вариант.

: Tanya, ther's a prob: Vendor quotes (indeed!) a price, upon a quote request from a potential buyer. "Offer" is a wider concept – a product may be offered rather than the price. And then the buyer either asks for a quote,or makes an offer,or both

I’d go with “bid proposal,” though. You may want to look up "sample bid proposal form" to find multiple occurremces of this term.
