by way of transfer

I'm more worried about увольнение - it can't be "dismissal"

I think the whole process might be "transfer": Transferring personnel from the Bank to OAO X

Termination/dismissal - it's all the same. In English usage, you can't dismiss someone and transfer them. It's one or the other - they are either dismissed or transferred but not both.

Implicit in the transfer is continuity of employment.

I wonder if "terminating employment at the Bank as part of the process of transferring .." would work better. This means taking the full meaning of в порядке rather than reducing it as usual.

agree Gennady Lapardin : w/Alexander. may be this is Russian specific, but according to labour code, transfer (accepted beforehand by former master) is one of the reasons for termination of labour relations with an enterprise (here, the Bank)

agree Alexander Demyanov : "termination" for "увольнение"//Yep, I saw the note before grading. I don't think you can bend the original that much. There is a profound difference betw transfering to a branch and removing an employee from the payroll

No, I don't think this is right. See added note.//Thanks Alexander. I was too dismissive of "termination", and it would work here.

by transferring

Since English language tends to be so economical "by means of" in not really necessary' "by" is sifficient

due to transfer to

Я поняла, что это еще и "в связи с переводом" и предлагаю такой вариант
