: and very Canadian too! Though definitely 'viewing point' (not 'observation'). And NO 'vista' (here in BC). Here, we have "viewing" everywhere; no 'observation' which seems to be more about 'наблюдение', methink.

: I think we just said "view point" in my childhood, http://www.google.com/search?hl=de&q=highway trip "view poin... I think "vista point" might be odd Denglish, since I get a lot of hits for it on my german computer too, but fewer american ones
