9.3.6.3 Explosion protection
All rooms and areas where the local and operational conditions and surroundings can lead to the accumulation of gases, vapours, mists or dusts which, in combination with air, form explosive mixtures, are to be considered as areas exposed to the risk of explosion. European directive ATEX and IEC 60079 shall be followed for equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
