Hello,
I have large technical document to be translated with Across, and the possibility of auto-propagation does not appear. I suppose this is because of the different tags in paragraph, the text and the numbers between them are not recognized as the same through the document, for example "length" is every time displayed as a 95% match, the only difference between paragraphs is in those grey fields. Do I really have to manually insert and translate every paragraph? Thanks in advanc... See more Hello,

Hi Danijela,
Why don't you try the last v5.3 of Across? I reckon it is much better than the previous ones.
You can make the following settings therein:
In System Settings/Project Setting Templates/General/Repetition Settings, you can mark the "Ignore different tags/placeables".
Also, you could set the auto-propagation level to less than 100% matches in System Settings/Project Settings Templates/crossTank/crossTank Penalty and Pre-translation settings/Project Settin... See more Hi Danijela,

Please check if you have these settings in your version of Across. I hope you will be able to make full use of the auto-propagation function now.

Hi, Georgi,
Thank you very much for your replay.
When I try to open System settings, it says: You do not have enough rights to change any system settings.
Or I missed something in the installation or maybe it is because I work as a remote client...
This is the first time I work with Across and I followed the client recommendation to download Across v.5.0...

Georgi, try as I might, I don't seem to be able to download the v5.3 version. How would one go about that, bearing in mind that I am not the most computer-savvy person around?

Autopropagation won't be able to adjust fields for you, but there is another mechanism for this in Across. Try to store one of these paragraphs to crossTank (Translation Memory) by setting paragraph to translated state. Paragraph will be highlighted green.
After that, start Pre-Translation (there is a special toolbar button for this). This function will insert all repeating translated text and adjust fields as necessary.

Hi Danijela,
When I try to open System settings, it says: You do not have enough rights to change any system settings.
Sorry for not replying earlier. Obviously, you are not working with the PE (Personal Edition) that is why you cannot adjust the system settings yourself. Your client has done them. The solution proposed by AAV must work in my opinion.
