Changing system attributes in Across v5.3 freelance

Hi,
Can anyone help me please with some tips on how to change system attributes? More specifically, how to add attribute values for the system field "Relations"?
When I go to Tools --> System settings --> System attributes and click on "Relations" in the upper "System attributes" box, I can see the value that I once added in the lower box "Attribute value". However, the buttons "Add", "Edit" and "Delete" are greyed out and I cannot add any new attributes.

Hello Ülle,

For me it works by just adding a relation in Across itself. Administration > Relations Always works for me

Many thanks for your help! Now it seems very easy to me but boy did I spend ages looking for where this can be done I am pretty new to Across and haven't quite grasped the logic yet.
