Industrial experience between 1979 till 1997 was in a Bang...alore based public sector enterprise under the Government of India, Bharat Heavy Electricals, Electronics Division.
Worked as Design Assistant in the Technical Services Group Involved with technologies from Siemens, Brown Boveri Corporation, Sulzer, General Electric & Westinghouse; Products included DC Drives, Furnace Safeguard Supervisory Systems, Static Excitation, Solar Photo Voltaic, HP LP Bypass Valves, and Defence Simulators etc.
Subsequently worked in the Telecom Department as an Engineer (Engineering and Commercial Department) technical know-how was provided by the Centre for Development of Telematics

Graduation in Commerce and Economics subjects, post-graduation in Hindi and One-Year Certificate Course in Translation (English-Hindi), all from University of Delhi.

Worked in Reserve Bank of India in Delhi and Mumbai for 37 years in various capacities from 1966 to 2003 and last worked as Asstt. General Manager (Hindi).
Learning computer and using it for Hindi has been my obsession.
After taking voluntary retirement in 2003, I got associated with Microsoft (India) and established myself as a Language Consultant and a freelance translator.
I participated in the first POWWOW named Indian Translators Meet held in India in New Delhi in 2004 which gave me insight to the use of CAT tools for translation and it also highlighted the benefits of ProZ.com membership.
Using CAT tools for translation and getting the membership of ProZ.com contributed a lot to my freelance career.
Becoming a ProZ.com Certified PRO member gave me a further boost.
I am a founder member of the Indian Translators Association and its Vice-President since 2007.
I organized a POWWOW 'First Workshop on CAT tools for English-Hindi Translators' in 2010 in NOIDA.
