Istanbul courts have only three Kurdish translators, media say

The Istanbul Justice Commission has only three Kurdish translators, while 58 translators are employed overall, and thousands of others involved in different ways, Hurriyet Daily News reports.

Lawyers, doctors, TV presenters, teachers, art historians, customs officials, bankers, dentists, insurance officials, artifact experts and thousands of other specialist are also employed as experts. The list includes a total of number of 7,739 individuals.

Translators included speakers of such languages as German, Bulgarian, English, French, Romanian, Armenian, Greek, Polish, Italian, Arabic, Persian, Japanese and Ottoman, the news agency informs. More.
