A professional translator with degree in Russian law, I became a full-time freelancer after several years of working in legal translation agencies as translator, editor, and then production and marketing manager. This practice gave me a thorough understanding of translation technology, comprehension of needs of both agencies and end clients, a good experience in meeting the requirements of Russian law concerning the translation of legal documents, as well as a sustainable output of not less than 2000 words per day. These are some areas of expertise:
• All sorts of contracts, such as loan and credit facility agreements, share purchase agreements, transaction documents relating to a securitization of mortgage loans.
• Articles of association, powers of attorney, minutes.
• Arbitration awards, criminal and civil court rulings.
• Articles on HR management, marketing, advertising, as well as market surveys.
• General: cuisine, cosmetics, clothing and accessories.
Examples of recent projects: translation of USA court practice (totally over 25,000 words), translation of web-site of an investment company (15,000 words), translation of an agreement (8,000 words for two business days), as well as other similar day-to-day jobs. Last year, for instance, I translated over 100,000 words on mortgage lending (several large projects for different end clients: Information Memorandum, transaction documents, market surveys, Feasibility Report), a number of presentations on investment banking, stock market, private banking and investment portfolio management, as well as different contracts and other documents, totally more than 400,000 words.
