During the time of its existence it has grown into a stable company that follows its vision and acts in good faith and successfully in both local and international markets. The name STROMBUS implies intensive and extensive development, unlimited by time boundaries. The vision of STROMBUS is to achieve the performance like that Nature has attained in creating the exquisite forms of a conch. The beauty and the diversity of its admirable forms serve as an inexhaustible source of inspiration for creative work. A good translation, devoid of content errors and done respecting the language norms, may be achieved only as a result of creative efforts. On the other hand, the fact that a Latvian company bears the name of the conch STROMBUS (a kind of a symbol for the Atlantic Ocean) indicates to the determination to expand its activities outside Latvia.
We specialise in technical translations (e.g. manuals, software, life sciences, engineering, automotive, pharmaceutical, financial services etc.). STROMBUS has also accumulated rich experience in the translation of legal texts, particularly those related to EU.
We provide expert translations from English, German and French into Baltic languages (Latvian, Lithuanian, Estonian) Russian and also Ukrainian. Lithuanian, Estonian and Ukrainian translations are processed by our reliable partners in the respective countries. We can also provide translations from Baltic languages and Russian into English, German and French.
We are members of the Consortium of Translation Agencies of Central and Eastern European Languages – EUPHARIA. We have recently become members of the Association of Translating Agencies of EU Languages – EULOGIA.

Translators
Our translators are freelancers with several years experience in different areas of technical translation. All translations are edited/proofread by another linguist. Our translators have undergone rigorous selection procedure and they all have several years experience in different areas. All translators are equipped with e-mail, IM tools, FTP access, thus ensuring a quick and effective communication with the editors and experts.
We can also process DTP files and can deal with various file formats.
