My name is Maria Jahromi and I am a NAATI accredited translator in the following languages:
- Persian (Farsi) to English
- Russian to English
In addition to my NAATI accreditation I also hold a PhD in Finance from University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Commerce (First Class Honours) from the Australian National University and a Diploma in Persian from the Australian National University. I also spent one semester studying Persian literature at Dehkhoda Institute in Tehran.
I translate a variety of documents including personal documents (e.g. birth certificate, driver licence, ...), academic publications (e.g. book chapters, journal articles, course outlines), and specialised texts in finance and economics.
I have a strong background in academic writing. I have written two theses and multiple papers in academic journals and conference papers. Please refer to my website for a list of my academic publications, awards and prizes.
