Hi, I'm Cecilia.
I started learning English as a child, and it became the secret language my sister and I used to outsmart our parents. Today, as a translator and writer, I use my language skills to help reveal rather than hide meaning. Because your Italian audience doesn't want to be outsmarted, but rather to understand and be understood.

As a CAI (Italian Alpine Club) member and outdoor enthusiast, my firsthand experience with outdoor sports like skiing and hiking provided me with direct insight into translating marketing texts for sporting goods and alpine refuge websites. I grew up in Emilia-Romagna, a region equally distant from the seaside and mountains, which shaped my love for the outdoors.
My work has since sprawled across healthcare, sustainability, and plenty of other sectors—but those Alpine roots remain part of my DNA.

I've recently moved to Nuremberg, where I joined the local translators' and interpreters' community to overcome that isolation feeling, where I teach Italian to locals, and I've joined the DAV (German Alpine Club) section. Both in my private and in my professional life, it's all about staying connected and building community.

I bring to the table the specialised expertise and hustle of a freelancer, wrapped in the professionalism, responsiveness, and teamwork mentality of someone who spent years in-house.
