Since my chilhood I can't imagine my life without other cultures and languages. It all started when my brother brought me a toy Mickey Mouse from the USA in 1990...
Time went on... I was learning English and Spanish at school, when I entered language department of St. Petersburg State University, Russia, I took two more languages - German and French. Though I had nothing to do with translation and interpretation formally, I had to face both translation and interpretation in a real life. Trying to use any possibility to advance my knowledge of English, German and French, I did translations, sometimes interpreted for different companies and private persons in this city.
An important part of my life is guiding. I mean I am a guide for those English-German-French-speaking tourists who come to St. Petersburg. This job is something really exciting!!! Every day you make tours for different people from all over the world.
But nowadays these times are almost gone because I have to dedicate me to study at St. Petersburg School of Interpretation and Translation almost eight days a week. Notwithstanding that study I try to follow two simple rules:
1. be in time;
2. "dear friend, all theory is gray,
And green the golden tree of life" (J.-W. Goethe)
Therefore I am glad if you trust me your text. Moreover I hope you and your adressee will be happy to understand each other with my help.
Hope to hear from you soon! |
