I am an English to Russian/Ukrainian translator with broad-based proven experience.

I was born and raised in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. There, I graduated from high school at the age of 14 with straight A's, studied piano, international relations, and four foreign languages (English, Arabic, French, and Spanish) and completed two Bachelor’s, and two Master’s programs.

I started working as a translator to Russian and Ukrainian languages (my native tongues) at 16, at the same time honing my interpersonal and administrative skills by participating in my mother's business.

In 2010, I fully moved on to freelance and have since accumulated a reasonably respectable resume of projects of various complexity completed successfully for customers of various statuses and various location areas.

Although my education and experience allow for substantial latitude, as a translator and editor I specialize in such areas as cosmetic industry & beauty, fashion, hospitality business, law, marketing, and software localization.

I collaborate with a range of well-known translation/transcreation agencies. Through them I perform translation and transcreation for various Fortune 500 brands. For example, ad copies creatively translated by me from English to Russian or Ukrainian, have been published on official websites of leading consumer technology companies, printed on posters of famous retail clothing companies, and used in marketing emails of world's largest hotel chains.

Since August 2014, I have also been working as a QA editor in a Miami-based translation company, where my activities and responsibilities include but are not limited to coordinating terminology management with Project Managers, preparing/updating glossaries and style guides, and proofreading of important translations such as first jobs, test jobs, and jobs with specific QA requirements.
