Safety Instructions
1. Read the safety instructions carefully before using your Sansa.
2. Read this entire manual to ensure proper usage.
3. Keep this User Guide for future reference.
4. Do not use HeadPhones/Earphones while driving, cycling, or operating any motorized vehicle. This may create a traffic hazard and may be illegal in some areas. It can also be dangerous to play your music with Headphones/Earphones at high volume while walking, or engaged in other activities. You should exercise extreme caution and discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations.
5. Avoid using Headphones/Earphones at high volume. Hearing experts advise against continuous loud and extended music play. Keep the volume at a moderate level, so that you are better able to hear outside sound, and to be considerate of the people around you.
6. Keep your player away from sinks, drinks, bathtubs, showers, rain, and other sources of moisture. Moisture can cause electric shocks with any electronic device.
7. Follow these tips to keep your player working well for a long time:
Clean your player with a soft lint-free cloth used on glass lenses.
Do not allow young children to use your player unsupervised.
Never force any connector into the ports of your player or your computer. Make sure your connectors are the identical shape and size before you connect.

Congratulations on your purchase of a SanDisk Sansa™ c100.
The SanDisk Sansa™ c100 is a high performance portable digital audio player with a photo browser and a voice recorder. The Sansa c100 enables users to play MP3, WMA, and secure WMA audio files. It also shows photo files that are transferred to the player through Sansa Media converter.

Playback Screen Description
1. Track Number Display the current track number and the total number of sound tracks.
2. Artist Name Displays the artist name of the current playback file.
3. Song Name Displays the song name of the current playback track.
4. Track Timer Displays the timer of the current playback track.
5. Repeat Indicates when Repeat function is enabled.
6. Shuffle Indicates when Shuffle function is enabled.

Install or replace Battery
The Sansa c100 is powered by an AAA alkaline battery. To install or replace battery, locate the battery compartment on the back of the player, press in on the tab of the battery compartment cover to remove it. Orient and insert the battery according to the battery icon with polarity signs inside the battery compartment for proper installation.

Hold Switch
The Sansa c100 Hold Switch is located on the side of the device, and is used to prevent any accidental operation. Once the Hold Switch is moved to the lock position, all function keys will be disabled. Buttons on the Sansa c100 will not operate when the Hold Switch is active (Orange Color visible).

Connecting and Transferring
Connect to your computer
1. Connect the small USB Cable Connector to the USB port on your computer, and then plug the larger Cable Dock Connector in to your Sansa c100 port.
2. Once connected to computer, it should be detected by the operating system automatically and is shown as an additional drive called “Sansa c100”.
Sansa Media Converter
You will need to use Sansa Media Converter to transfer photos to your Sansa c100. Insert your SanDisk CD and select Sansa Media Converter to install it to your PC. Then you can load your personal photos onto your Sansa c100 by using Sansa Media Converter.
Supported IMPORT media types
Still Image Files: JPEG, TIFF, PNG, BMP, GIF.
Transfer Photos
To transfer photos to your Sansa c100.
1. Open Sansa Media Converter on your PC
2. Connect Sansa c100 to the computer.
The detected Sansa c100 will list the available space and total space on the device. If more than one device is inserted, only the first device will be supported.
3. Add the media files to be converted
4. Press to start the conversion process and transcode all of the files in the selected media window and output them using the parameter setting for each media type. A convert status box will appear showing which file(s) are being converted and the percentage of that file along with all of the files.
Transfer Music
To transfer music to your Sansa c100.
1. Connect Sansa c100 to the computer.
2. Drag and drop files from your computer to Sansa c100 by using a variety of music software programs to transfer/synchronize your files.
3. In MTP mode as long as the files are WMA or MP3, they can be dragged into the Media folder. Otherwise, they can be dragged into the Data folder (these files will not appear on the player).
4. In MSC mode, files/folders can be dragged/copied to the device.
Delete Files
When your player is connected to your computer, you can use your operating system file browser to view all files on your player and to delete files.
Synchronize Files
Various software packages are available to synchronize songs on your device. Please refer to the specific software package instructions.
Safely Remove SanDisk Sansa™ c100 from Computer
After managing the files or updating firmware, you have to follow the steps to safely remove the Sansa c100:
1. Click on the MTP Media Player icon in MTP mode or the Safely Remove Hardware icon in MSC mode, on the taskbar.
2. Wait until "Safe to Remove Hardware" message is displayed.
3. You can disconnect the player from the computer now.

Press and hold the Power/Menu button and you should see the LCD light up with SanDisk screen saver then the main menu will appear.

Using Navigation Buttons
Use Navigation Buttons, described in “Getting Started” section, to navigate though menus, play music, record voice, and browse photos.
Power Off
Press the Power button and hold for two seconds or until the display is off.
Music Mode
Music/Voice Playback
1. To play music stored on the player, recorded voice, press Menu button and select Music menu. Voice files are located under “Recordings”.
2. Browse through the menu selections, highlight the desired track or file, and press Select button to play.
3. Press Right button to skip to the next sound or press and hold to fast forward.
4. Press Left button to go back to the beginning of the sound and press Left twice to go back to the previous sound. Press and hold Left to rewind.
Setting Repeat Mode
1. In playback mode, press Down button to enter Music Option.
2. Press Down button to highlight Repeat.
3. Press Select button or Right button to choose:
Off: No repeat of tracks
One: Repeat the current track
All: Repeat all selected tracks
Setting Shuffle Mode
1. In playback mode, press Down button to enter Music Option.
2. Press Down button to highlight Shuffle.
3. Press Select button or Right button to turn On or Off Shuffle.
Setting Equalizer
Sansa c100 provides 5 equalizer types: Normal, Rock, Jazz, Classic, Pop and One Custom, for users to choose as following step to increase the enjoyment of listening to music, and to meet the personal need or habit.
1. In playback mode, press Down button to enter Music Option.
2. Press Down button to highlight Equalizer.
3. Press Select button or Right button to enter equalizer type selection.
4. Press Up or Down button to select the equalizer type desired then press Select or Right button to choose.
5. For Custom EQ, press Up and Down button to adjust parameters of one equalizer band, use Right and Left button to switch between each equalizer bands.
Adding songs to GoList
1. In playback mode, press Down button to enter Music Option.
2. Press Down button to highlight Add to GoList.
3. Press Down button or Right button to add the song to GoList.
Remove songs from GoList
1. Press Menu button to enter menu select Settings menu
2. Select Playback in Settings menu
3. Highlight Clear Favorites in Playback then press Select or Right button to remove songs from GoList.
Photo Mode
Viewing Photos
1. To view photos stored in the player, press Menu button and select Photo in Main Menu.
2. Select View All then select the image you want to view
3. Press Right button to view the next image or press Left button to view the previous image.
4. Press Menu button to exit photo viewing
Slideshow
To play slideshow, press Menu button and select Photo in Main Menu. then select Starts Slideshow.
Photo Options
1. To set Photo options, select Photo Options in Photo menu.
2. Highlight Random and press Down or Right button to select Random On or Random Off.
3. Highlight Loop and press Down or Right button to select Loop On or Loop Off.
4. Highlight Duration and press Down or Right button to choose duration time for each slide.

Sansa c100 has a microphone built in to support voice recording. You can use it to record your own voice, an interview or a speech. To use the voice recording function, please follow the steps shown below.
1. Select Voice in Main menu
2. Press Play/Pause/Up button to start recording

4. The voice recording can be played back by following the instructions for Music mode.

Setting Display Backlight
Display Backlight timer program can save the power. After having been idle for few seconds, the device will run the Backlight timer program automatically and cease the backlight, you can press any button to wake the backlight up.

You can set the timer under Auto Power Off setting to turn off Sansa c100 automatically when it is playing or recording for a certain time.

The MTP mode supports Windows Media Player 10 only. You must use the MTP mode to synchronize music files using Windows Media Player 10 for the optimal system performance.
Tips, FAQ, and Troubleshooting
This chapter provides answers to common questions you may have.
Question: How do I copy files to the Sansa MP3 Player?
Answer: Copy files to the Sansa c100, in MSC mode, is just like copying files to a Hard Drive.
Question: What file formats does the Sansa c100 support?
Answer: The Sansa MP3 Player will support MP3, WMA, secure WMA. Any other formats need to be converted to these formats prior to transferring to your Sansa c100.
Question: What is MTP?
Answer: Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) is a new protocol and accompanying set of drivers developed by Microsoft to connect portable devices to a Windows XP PC and synchronize digital media content between those devices and the PC.
Question: Some of my music files are on my player, but cannot be played. When I select them, another song begins to play. What is wrong?
Answer: You may not have purchased the rights to play the song on an additional device. To test this, try to play a song that you have copied from an older CD and converted to MP3 format. If you can play that song, but not the song that will not play, then you need to purchase the rights to play the song.
Question: Why should I update the firmware?
Answer: You should always update the player to the latest firmware to ensure that it functions correctly and has all the latest features.
Question: How can I use non-supported file types with my mp3 player?
Answer: First you must convert the songs to a supported format. Then you can transfer the songs to the player as normal, either by copying and pasting, or transferring.
Question: In MTP mode, how do I drag files to the player?
Answer: As long as the files are wma or mp3, they can be dragged into the Media folder. Otherwise, they can be dragged into the Data folder (these files will not appear on the player). An alternative is to switch the player to MSC mode, then the files can be dragged/copied to the root directory.
Question: Is the player compatible with podcasts?
Answer: As long as the podcasts are in mp3 format and an appropriate bit rate (32-320 kbps), then the player should be capable of playing the files.
Question: Why does my player say unknown artist/album?
Answer: Normally this is because the ID3 tags are missing information. On the computer, right-click the song and choose Properties, then the Summary tab and click Advanced. Then you can input the data such as Artist, Album, Song Title, Track Number, Genre, and Year.

Safe riding
Always make pre-operation
checks. Careful checks may help
prevent an accident.
This motorcycle is designed to carry
the operator and a passenger.
The failure of motorists to detect
and recognize motorcycles in traffic
is the predominating cause of
automobile/motorcycle accidents.
Many accidents have been caused
by an automobile driver who did
not see the motorcycle. Making
yourself conspicuous appears to
be very effective in reducing the
chance of this type of accident.
Therefore:
Wear a brightly colored jacket.
Use extra caution when approaching
and passing through
intersections, since intersections
are the most likely places
for motorcycle accidents to occur.
Ride where other motorists can
see you. Avoid riding in another
motorist’s blind spot.
Many accidents involve inexperienced
operators. In fact, many operators
who have been involved in
accidents do not even have a current
motorcycle license.
Make sure that you are qualified
and that you only lend your motorcycle
to other qualified operators.
Know your skills and limits.
Staying within your limits may
help you to avoid an accident.
We recommend that you practice
riding your motorcycle
where there is no traffic until you
have become thoroughly familiar
with the motorcycle and all of
its controls.
Many accidents have been caused
by error of the motorcycle operator.
A typical error made by the operator
is veering wide on a turn
due to EXCESSIVE SPEED or undercornering
(insufficient lean angle
for the speed).
Always obey the speed limit and
never travel faster than warranted
by road and traffic conditions.

Always signal before turning or
changing lanes. Make sure that
other motorists can see you.
The posture of the operator and
passenger is important for proper
control.
The operator should keep both
hands on the handlebar and
both feet on the operator footrests
during operation to maintain
control of the motorcycle.
The passenger should always
hold onto the operator, the seat
strap or grab bar, if equipped,
with both hands and keep both
feet on the passenger footrests.
Never carry a passenger unless
he or she can firmly place both
feet on the passenger footrests.
Never ride under the influence of
alcohol or other drugs.
Protective apparel
The majority of fatalities from motorcycle
accidents are the result of head injuries.
The use of a safety helmet is the
single most critical factor in the prevention
or reduction of head injuries.
Always wear an approved helmet.
Wear a face shield or goggles.
Wind in your unprotected eyes
could contribute to an impairment
of vision that could delay seeing a
hazard.
The use of a jacket, heavy boots,
trousers, gloves, etc., is effective in
preventing or reducing abrasions
or lacerations.
Never wear loose-fitting clothes,
otherwise they could catch on the
control levers, footrests, or wheels
and cause injury or an accident.
Never touch the engine or exhaust
system during or after operation.
They become very hot and can
cause burns. Always wear protective
clothing that covers your legs,
ankles, and feet.
Passengers should also observe
the precautions mentioned above.
Modifications
Modifications made to this motorcycle
not approved by Yamaha, or the removal
of original equipment, may render
the motorcycle unsafe for use and
may cause severe personal injury.
Modifications may also make your motorcycle
illegal to use.
Loading and accessories
Adding accessories or cargo to your
motorcycle can adversely affect stability
and handling if the weight distribution
of the motorcycle is changed. To avoid
the possibility of an accident, use extreme
caution when adding cargo or
accessories to your motorcycle. Use
extra care when riding a motorcycle
that has added cargo or accessories.
Here are some general guidelines to
follow if loading cargo or adding accessories
to your motorcycle:
Loading
The total weight of the operator, passenger,
accessories and cargo must
not exceed the maximum load limit.
When loading within this weight limit,
keep the following in mind:
Cargo and accessory weight
should be kept as low and close to
the motorcycle as possible. Make
sure to distribute the weight as
evenly as possible on both sides of

the motorcycle to minimize imbalance
or instability.
Shifting weights can create a sudden
imbalance. Make sure that accessories
and cargo are securely
attached to the motorcycle before
riding. Check accessory mounts
and cargo restraints frequently.
Never attach any large or heavy
items to the handlebar, front fork,
or front fender. These items, including
such cargo as sleeping
bags, duffel bags, or tents, can
create unstable handling or a slow
steering response.
Accessories
Genuine Yamaha accessories have
been specifically designed for use on
this motorcycle. Since Yamaha cannot
test all other accessories that may be
available, you must personally be responsible
for the proper selection, installation
and use of non-Yamaha
accessories. Use extreme caution
when selecting and installing any accessories.
Keep the following guidelines in mind,
as well as those provided under “Loading”
when mounting accessories.
Never install accessories or carry
cargo that would impair the performance
of your motorcycle. Carefully
inspect the accessory before
using it to make sure that it does
not in any way reduce ground
clearance or cornering clearance,
limit suspension travel, steering
travel or control operation, or obscure
lights or reflectors.
Accessories fitted to the handlebar
or the front fork area can
create instability due to improper
weight distribution or aerodynamic
changes. If accessories
are added to the handlebar or
front fork area, they must be as
lightweight as possible and
should be kept to a minimum.
Bulky or large accessories may
seriously affect the stability of
the motorcycle due to aerodynamic
effects. Wind may attempt
to lift the motorcycle, or
the motorcycle may become unstable
in cross winds. These accessories
may also cause
instability when passing or being
passed by large vehicles.
Certain accessories can displace
the operator from his or
her normal riding position. This
improper position limits the freedom
of movement of the operator
and may limit control ability,
therefore, such accessories are
not recommended.
Use caution when adding electrical
accessories. If electrical accessories
exceed the capacity of the
motorcycle’s electrical system, an
electric failure could result, which
could cause a dangerous loss of
lights or engine power.
Gasoline and exhaust gas
GASOLINE IS HIGHLY FLAMMABLE:
Always turn the engine off when
refueling.
Take care not to spill any gasoline
on the engine or exhaust
system when refueling.
Never refuel while smoking or in
the vicinity of an open flame.
Never start the engine or let it run

for any length of time in a closed
area. The exhaust fumes are poisonous
and may cause loss of
consciousness and death within a
short time. Always operate your
motorcycle in an area that has adequate
ventilation.
Always turn the engine off before
leaving the motorcycle unattended
and remove the key from the main
switch. When parking the motorcycle,
note the following:
The engine and exhaust system
may be hot, therefore, park the
motorcycle in a place where pedestrians
or children are not likely
to touch these hot areas.
Do not park the motorcycle on a
slope or soft ground, otherwise it
may fall over.
Do not park the motorcycle near
a flammable source (e.g., a kerosene
heater, or near an open
flame), otherwise it could catch
fire.
When transporting the motorcycle
in another vehicle, make sure that
it is kept upright and that the fuel
cock(s) are turned to “ON” or
“RES” (for vacuum type)/“OFF”
(for manual type). If the motorcycle
should lean over, gasoline may
leak out of the carburetor or fuel
tank.
If you should swallow any gasoline,
inhale a lot of gasoline vapor,
or allow gasoline to get into your
eyes, see your doctor immediately.
If any gasoline spills on your
skin or clothing, immediately wash
the affected area with soap and
water and change your clothes.

Main switch/steering lock
The main switch/steering lock controls
the ignition and lighting systems, and is
used to lock the steering. The various
positions are described below.

All electrical circuits are supplied with
power; the meter lighting, taillight and
auxiliary light come on, and the engine
can be started. The key cannot be removed.
NOTE:
The headlight comes on automatically
when the engine is started and stays on
until the key is turned to “OFF”.

OFF
All electrical systems are off. The key
can be removed.
EAU10690
LOCK
The steering is locked, and all electrical
systems are off. The key can be removed.
To lock the steering
1. Turn the handlebars all the way to
the left or right.
2. Push the key in from the “OFF” position,
and then turn it to “LOCK”
while still pushing it.
3. Remove the key.
To unlock the steering
Push the key into the main switch, and
then turn it to “OFF” while still pushing
it.
WARNING

Never turn the key to “OFF” or
“LOCK” while the vehicle is moving,
otherwise the electrical systems will
be switched off, which may result in
loss of control or an accident. Make
sure that the vehicle is stopped before
turning the key to “OFF” or

The speedometer unit is equipped with
a speedometer, an odometer and a
tripmeter. The speedometer shows

shows the distance traveled since it
was last set to zero with the reset knob.
The tripmeter can be used to estimate
the distance that can be traveled with a
full tank of fuel. This information will enable
you to plan future fuel stops.

Clutch lever
The clutch lever is located at the left
handlebar grip. To disengage the
clutch, pull the lever toward the handlebar
grip. To engage the clutch, release
the lever. The lever should be pulled
rapidly and released slowly for smooth
clutch operation.
The clutch lever is equipped with a
clutch switch, which is part of the ignition
circuit cut-off system. (See
page 3-10.)

The shift pedal is located on the left
side of the engine and is used in combination
with the clutch lever when

The brake pedal is on the right side of
the motorcycle. To apply the rear
brake, press down on the brake pedal.

Fuel tank cap
To remove the fuel tank cap
1. Open the fuel tank cap lock cover.
2. Insert the key into the lock and turn
it 1/4 turn clockwise. The lock will
be released and the fuel tank cap
can be removed.
To install the fuel tank cap
1. Push and install the fuel tank cap
into position with the key inserted
in the lock.
2. Turn the key counterclockwise to
the original position, and then remove
it.
NOTE:
The fuel tank cap cannot be installed
unless the key is in the lock. In addition,
the key cannot be removed if the cap is
not properly installed and locked.

91 or higher. If knocking (or pinging) occurs,
use a gasoline of a different brand
or premium unleaded fuel. Use of unleaded
fuel will extend spark plug life
and reduce maintenance costs.

The fuel cock supplies fuel from the
tank to the carburetor while filtering it also.
The fuel cock has three positions:

open the gas cylinder.
Do not subject the shock absorber
to an open flame or other
high heat sources, otherwise it
may explode due to excessive
gas pressure.
Do not deform or damage the
gas cylinder in any way, as this
will result in poor damping performance.
Always have a Yamaha dealer
service the shock absorber.

Sidestand
The sidestand is located on the left side
of the frame. Raise the sidestand or
lower it with your foot while holding the
vehicle upright.
NOTE:
The built-in sidestand switch is part of
the ignition circuit cut-off system, which
cuts the ignition in certain situations.
(See further down for an explanation of
the ignition circuit cut-off system.)
WARNING

The vehicle must not be ridden with
the sidestand down, or if the sidestand
cannot be properly moved up
(or does not stay up), otherwise the
sidestand could contact the ground
and distract the operator, resulting
in a possible loss of control.
Yamaha’s ignition circuit cut-off
system has been designed to assist
the operator in fulfilling the responsibility
of raising the sidestand before
starting off. Therefore, check
this system regularly as described
below and have a Yamaha dealer re-

pair it if it does not function properly.

Ignition circuit cut-off system
The ignition circuit cut-off system (comprising
the sidestand switch, clutch
switch and neutral switch) has the following
functions.
It prevents starting when the transmission
is in gear and the sidestand
is up, but the clutch lever is
not pulled.
It prevents starting when the transmission
is in gear and the clutch lever
is pulled, but the sidestand is
still down.
It cuts the running engine when the
transmission is in gear and the sidestand
is moved down.
Periodically check the operation of the
ignition circuit cut-off system according
to the following procedure.

If a malfunction is noted, have a
Yamaha dealer check the system before
riding.

With the engine turned off:
1. Move the sidestand down.
2. Make sure that the engine stop switch is turned on.
3. Turn the key on.
4. Shift the transmission into the neutral position.
5. Push the start switch.

With the engine still running:

7. Keep the clutch lever pulled.
8. Shift the transmission into gear.
9. Move the sidestand down.

The condition of a vehicle is the owner’s responsibility. Vital components can start to deteriorate quickly and unexpectedly,
even if the vehicle remains unused (for example, as a result of exposure to the elements). Any damage, fluid leakage or loss
of tire air pressure could have serious consequences. Therefore, it is very important, in addition to a thorough visual inspection,
to check the following points before each ride.
NOTE:
Pre-operation checks should be made each time the vehicle is used. Such an inspection can be accomplished in a very short
time; and the added safety it assures is more than worth the time involved.

Starting a cold engine
In order for the ignition circuit cut-off
system to enable starting, one of the
following conditions must be met:
The transmission is in the neutral
position.
The transmission is in gear with
the clutch lever pulled and the sidestand
up.

1. Turn the fuel cock lever to “ON”.

position, the neutral indicator light
should be on, otherwise have a
Yamaha dealer check the electrical circuit.
4. Turn the starter (choke) on and
completely close the throttle. (See

5. Start the engine by pushing the
start switch.
NOTE:
If the engine fails to start, release the
start switch, wait a few seconds, and
then try again. Each starting attempt
should be as short as possible to preserve
the battery. Do not crank the engine
more than 10 seconds on any one
attempt.
6. After starting the engine, move the
starter (choke) back halfway.

Tips for reducing fuel
consumption
Fuel consumption depends largely on
your riding style. Consider the following
tips to reduce fuel consumption:
Turn the starter (choke) off as
soon as possible.
Shift up swiftly, and avoid high engine
speeds during acceleration.

down, and avoid high engine
speeds with no load on the engine.
Turn the engine off instead of letting
it idle for an extended length of
time (e.g., in traffic jams, at traffic
lights or at railroad crossings).

Engine break-in
There is never a more important period
in the life of your engine than the period
between 0 and 1600 km (1000 mi). For
this reason, you should read the following
material carefully.
Since the engine is brand new, do not
put an excessive load on it for the first
1600 km (1000 mi). The various parts in
the engine wear and polish themselves
to the correct operating clearances.
During this period, prolonged full-throttle
operation or any condition that might
result in engine overheating must be
avoided.

Checking the spark plug
The spark plug is an important engine
component, which is easy to check.
Since heat and deposits will cause any
spark plug to slowly erode, the spark
plug should be removed and checked
in accordance with the periodic maintenance
and lubrication chart. In addition,
the condition of the spark plug can reveal
the condition of the engine.
To remove the spark plug
1. Remove the spark plug cap.
2. Remove the spark plug as shown,
with the spark plug wrench included
in the owner’s tool kit.

To check the spark plug
1. Check that the porcelain insulator
around the center electrode of the
spark plug is a medium-to-light tan
(the ideal color when the vehicle is
ridden normally).
NOTE:
If the spark plug shows a distinctly different
color, the engine could be defective.
Do not attempt to diagnose such
problems yourself. Instead, have a
Yamaha dealer check the vehicle.
2. Check the spark plug for electrode
erosion and excessive carbon or
other deposits, and replace it if
necessary.
To install the spark plug
1. Measure the spark plug gap with a
wire thickness gauge and, if necessary,
adjust the gap to specification.
2. Clean the surface of the spark plug
gasket and its mating surface, and
then wipe off any grime from the
spark plug threads.
3. Install the spark plug with the
spark plug wrench, and then tighten
it to the specified torque.
NOTE:
If a torque wrench is not available when
installing a spark plug, a good estimate
of the correct torque is 1/4–1/2 turn
past finger tight. However, the spark
plug should be tightened to the specified
torque as soon as possible.

The engine oil level should be checked
before each ride. In addition, the oil
must be changed and the oil filter element
replaced at the intervals specified
in the General periodic maintenance
and lubrication chart.
To check the engine oil level
1. Place the vehicle on a level surface
and hold it in an upright position.
NOTE:
Make sure that the vehicle is positioned
straight up when checking the oil level.
A slight tilt to the side can result in a
false reading.
2. Start the engine, warm it up for
several minutes, and then turn it
off.
3. Wait a few minutes until the oil settles,
and then check the oil level
through the check window located
at the bottom-right side of the
crankcase.
NOTE:
The engine oil should be between the
minimum and maximum level marks.
4. If the engine oil is below the minimum
level mark, add sufficient oil
of the recommended type to raise
it to the correct level.
To change the engine oil (with or
without oil filter element replacement)
1. Start the engine, warm it up for
several minutes, and then turn it
off.
2. Place an oil pan under the engine
to collect the used oil.
3. Remove the engine oil filler bolt
and drain bolt to drain the oil from
the crankcase.

Replacing the air filter element
and cleaning the check hose
The air filter element should be replaced
at the intervals specified in the
periodic maintenance and lubrication
chart. Replace the air filter element
more frequently if you are riding in unusually
wet or dusty areas. In addition,
the air filter check hose must be frequently
checked and cleaned if necessary.
To replace the air filter element
1. Remove the seat. (See page 3-8.)
2. Remove the air filter case cover by
removing the screws.
3. Pull the air filter element out.
4. Insert a new air filter element into
the air filter case as shown.
CAUTION:

Make sure that the air filter element
is properly seated in the
air filter case.
The engine should never be operated
without the air filter element
installed, otherwise the
piston(s) and/or cylinder(s) may
become excessively worn.
5. Install the air filter case cover by installing

Adjusting the carburetor
The carburetor is an important part of
the engine and requires very sophisticated
adjustment. Therefore, most carburetor
adjustments should be left to a
Yamaha dealer, who has the necessary
professional knowledge and experience.
The adjustment described in the
following section, however, may be serviced
by the owner as part of routine
maintenance.

The carburetor has been set and extensively
tested at the Yamaha factory.
Changing these settings
without sufficient technical knowledge
may result in poor performance
of or damage to the engine.

Adjusting the engine idling
speed
The engine idling speed must be
checked and, if necessary, adjusted as
follows at the intervals specified in the
periodic maintenance and lubrication
chart.
The engine should be warm before
making this adjustment.
NOTE:
The engine is warm when it quickly
responds to the throttle.
A diagnostic tachometer is needed
to make this adjustment.
1. Attach the tachometer to the spark
plug lead.
2. Check the engine idling speed
and, if necessary, adjust it to specification
by turning the throttle stop
screw. To increase the engine
idling speed, turn the screw in direction
(a). To decrease the engine
idling speed, turn the screw in
direction (b).
NOTE:
If the specified idling speed cannot be
obtained as described above, have a
Yamaha dealer make the adjustment.

free play
The throttle cable free play should measure
3.0–5.0 mm (0.12–0.20 in) at the
throttle grip. Periodically check the
throttle cable free play and, if necessary,
have a Yamaha dealer adjust it.

The valve clearance changes with use,
resulting in improper air-fuel mixture
and/or engine noise. To prevent this
from occurring, the valve clearance
must be adjusted by a Yamaha dealer

and safe operation of your motorcycle,

the specified tires.
Tire air pressure
The tire air pressure should be checked

NEVER OVERLOAD THE VEHICLE!
Operation of an overloaded
vehicle may result in tire
damage, loss of control, or severe
injury. Make sure that the
total weight of rider, passenger,
cargo, and accessories does
not exceed the specified maximum
load for the vehicle.
Do not carry along loosely
packed items, which can shift
during a ride.
Securely pack the heaviest
items close to the center of the
vehicle and distribute the
weight evenly on both sides.
Adjust the tire air pressure with
regard to the load.
Check the tire condition and air
pressure before each ride.
Tire inspection
The tires must be checked before each
ride. If the center tread depth reaches
the specified limit, if the tire has a nail or
glass fragments in it, or if the sidewall is
cracked, have a Yamaha dealer replace
the tire immediately.
NOTE:
The tire tread depth limits may differ
from country to country. Always comply
with the local regulations.

Adjusting the clutch lever free
play
The clutch lever free play should measure
10.0–15.0 mm (0.39–0.59 in) as
shown. Periodically check the clutch lever
free play and, if necessary, adjust it
as follows.
1. Loosen the locknut at the clutch lever.
2. To increase the clutch lever free
play, turn the adjusting bolt in direction
(a). To decrease the clutch
lever free play, turn the adjusting
bolt in direction (b).
3. If the specified clutch lever free
play could be obtained as described
above, tighten the locknut
and skip the rest of the procedure,

Basic Operation

When a PTY type program is selected, the radio will start searching PTY information and it stops when the information is found. If there are no PTY information, it automatically switches to normal mode, the radio will emit a Beep and on the display will appear PTY NONE.
3. Mode control
Press this button to select Radio (TUNER), DVD/VCD/CD/MP3 (S-CDP) & USB (USB--DRIV) mode.
4. Band selector
Each time this button is pressed, the radio band is changed. The indication "FM1", "FM2", "FM3", "MW1" or "MW2" will appear on the display according to your selection.
5. Setting P-EQ
While listening to the popular music, classic music and rock music, you can adjust the sound quality to make it perfect by pressing 5 (P-EQ) button.
The procedure is as follows:
* POP mode is selected when 5 (P-EQ) button is first pressed and "POP" appears in the display.
* ROCK mode is selected when pressing 5 (P-EQ) button at the second time, and "ROCK" appears on the LCD.
* Classic mode is selected when pressing 5 (P-EQ) button at the third time, and "CLAS" appears in the display.
* Press 5 (P-EQ) button at the forth time to turn off the P-EQ system.
Note: Bass mode and Treble mode return to initial settings when P-EQ system is on, "BASS" and "TREBLE" disappear.
6. ST Selector (AF-L/R)
Press and keep pressed 6 (ST) button to select MONO mode or STEREO mode.
Stereo reception is charged when "ST" appears in the LCD. And "yy" appears in the display.
It is switched to MONO mode when "ST" disappears.
During the player mode, press the button to switch left speaker/right speaker/stereo.
AF Button
Alternative Frequencies. The radio automatically selects the alternative Frequency of the same programme with the best reception.
7. Loudness Button (TA)
Press the button to increase the low frequency. This can improve the sensitivity for your ears. And "LOUD" appears in the LCD when the loudness mode is activated.
Press it once more to shut down the LOU function.

8. Volume control
Rotate the button anti-clockwise to decrease, or clockwise to increase volume level.
9. Open/close button/Detaching panel button
• Press this button to show the disc slot in the main panel.
• To detach the front panel, press this button so that the panel slide down from vertical to horizontal position. Use thumb hold near the preset button between 3 and 4, and use other finger to hold the corrugated release button at the back of the front panel while pulling.
• To re-attach the panel, put the front panel to slide down metal frame by clipping it into place.
10. Remote control receptor
Receptor for the card remote commander.
Note: This window is used for the unit with remote control function. Without this function, you should ignore the operation contents about remote control function.
11. Tuning/Selecting Tracks
Manual Tuning: Press 11 (xx or xx) button continuously to select a station upward or downward respectively.
Automatic Tuning: Press and hold 11 (xx or xx) button for more than 3 seconds, the radio automatically searches a station upward or downward respectively and plays when it finds a station.
12. Reset Button
Operating the unit for the first time or after replacing the car battery, you must reset the unit. Press 12 (RES) button with a pointed object (such as a ballpoint pen) to set the unit to initial procedure.
Note: When some errors occur in the LCD display, you can press RESET button to resume to normal. And it will erase the clock setting and some memorized functions.
13. Eject Button
Press the eject button will eject the disc.
14. Setting the Sound Characteristics
Audio level control (when pushing one after another)
Press the button shortly one after another to show "VOL/BAS/TRE/BAL/FAD" control.
• VOLUME-press this button once, then rotate anti-clockwise to decrease, or clockwise to increase volume level.
• BASS-press this button twice, then rotate anti-clockwise to decrease, or clockwise to increase bass level
• TREBLE - press this button 3 times, then rotate anti-clockwise to decrease, or clockwise to increase treble level.
• BALANCE - press this button 4 times, then rotate anti-clockwise or clockwise to level balance of speaker right and left.
• FADER - press this button 5 times, then rotate anti-clockwise or clockwise to level fader of speaker front and rear.
• BRIGHTNESS - press this button 6 times, then rotate anti-clockwise to decrease, or clockwise to increase brightness level.
• CONTRAST - press this button 7 times, then rotate anti-clockwise to decrease, or clockwise to increase contrast level.
• COLOR- press this button 8 times, then rotate anti-clockwise to decrease, or clockwise to increase color level.
• SHARP- press this button 9 times, then rotate anti-clockwise to decrease, or clockwise to increase sharp level.
• HUE- press this button 10 times, then rotate anti-clockwise to decrease, or clockwise to increase hue level.
15. Number Buttons
Number buttons can help you store your favorite station by pressing any one of the number buttons. You can follow the steps as below:
Press and hold any number 15 (1-6) until "CH" appears in the LCD display when receiving a station. And now the station is already stored in the corresponding number button.

18. Preset Stations/AMS
TV Tuning Operation
At first, press MODE knob to switch the set to TV mode, then press "AMS" (Auto Memory System) to auto-scan TV station from low frequency to high frequency and TV station will be automatically stored in to memory. When Auto-Tuning is done, you can use the remote control 0-9 key to select your desired station.
AMS RADIO OPERATION
Press 18 (AMS) button to scan each stored station 10 seconds respectively which stored in 15 (1-6) number buttons. When AMS mode is carried out. "INT" appears on display. You also can press the corresponding number button or AMS button when your desired station is charged. It starts playing that station.
• Press and hold 18 (AMS) button for more than 3 seconds to activate automatically memory storing function. The radio automatically selects a station and has it stored in any one of the number buttons 15 (1-6)
Note: The unit can be stored up to 6 stations for each band. Regarding the function of number buttons, refer to 15 number buttons for details.
19. USB Port
The unit can be connected to a USB flash memory (B) for playing MP3 songs through the USB cable (A) (provided together with radio).
20. SD Socket
Holding the SD card to insert the SD socket. The mechanism will automatically engage into the SD mode.
Note: do not insert a SD card and a USB flash memory at the same time, otherwise they cannot work.

REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION
Replacing the battery (see picture xx)
• When the range of the operation of the card remote control becomes short or no functions while operating replace the battery with a new button cell. Make sure the battery polarity before replace.
1. Pull out the battery holder while pressing the stopper (1).
2. Put the button type battery (+) mark upward into the battery holder.
3. Insert the battery holder into the remote control.
• Power button
Press 1 () button to turn on/off the power.
• Pause/Play button
Press 2 (4;) button to suspend the playback of CD, MP3, VCD and DVD. Press it again to return to normal playback mode.
• Mute button Press 3 () button to cut down the sound output, press it once more to resume the previous sound level.
• Menu selector
Press 4 (3, 4, 5, 6) to select your desired menu, then press 6 (ENTER) or press the play button 2 (4;) to confirm.
Note: This function works in main menu mode only. Refer to Page xx.
• Band/System Switch
During radio mode press 5 (BAND/SYS) to switch receiving band.
In TV mode, press 5 (BAND/SYS) button to switch to AUTO, PAL, PLA60 or NTSC system.
During the player mode 5 (BAND/SYS) button to switch to AUTO; PAL; PAL60 or NTSC system)
• Volume increasing/decreasing
Press 7 (VOL+ or VOL-) button to increase or decrease the volume level respectively.
• Tuning/selecting tracks/Fast Rewind/Forward
During radio mode, continuously press 8 (xx or xx) button to manual search a station downward or upward respectively; if press 8 (xx or xx) button for more than 3 seconds, the radio will automatically search a station downward or upward respectively until it finds a station.
During the playing mode, press and hold 8 (xx or xx) button to fast rewind or fast forward to reach your desired track quickly.
When discontinuously press 8 (xx or xx) button, you can select your desired portion downward or upward respectively.
• Program playing
During CD, VCD mode you can set the program order to play, you can follow the steps as below:
Firstly press 16 (PBC) button and then press 9 (PGM) button and the television displays programming P00:00. You can set the program order to play them by using 14 (0~10+) button, and then press 2 ( ) to play.
Note: Program doesn’t function in playing MP3.
• On screen display
During CD, VCD and DVD mode press 10 (OSD) button. The display shows single track elapsed time, single track left time or entire disc left time, and the track being played and the amount of the whole disc.
Note: During MP3 mode only single track elapsed time is displayed in OSD mode.
• VOL/BAS/TRE/BAL/FAD Selector
Repeatedly press 11 (SEL) button to select the desired mode in the following order:
> VOL > BAS > TRE > BAL > FAD
Note: After selecting your desired mode, you can adjust the current mode being displayed by using (VOL+/-) buttons. When P-EQ mode is activated, press SEL button to select the modes. And Bass/Treble mode are invalid (shown as below)
> BRI > CON > SHA > COL > SHAR
• Repeat playing / AMS
During DVD mode, firstly press 12 (AMS/RPT) to repeat the current track being played; press it again to repeat playing the title. The third press it to repeat all.
(LCD will display different designs) Press 4 times to cancel the function (off)
During CD, MP3, VCD mode firstly press 12 (AMS/RPT) to repeat the current track being played, press it again to cancel the repeating function.
Note: In VCD, MP3 and CD mode the initial procedure is repeat playing all the tracks.
Note: In radio mode press 12 (RMS/RPT) to scan each stored station 10 seconds respectively which stored in number buttons.
• Random playing
During the playing mode, press 13 (RDM) button to play any track at random. (Viz. The unit plays tracks out of turn.)
Note: RDM is not functional in DVD mode.
• Number Buttons
During radio mode you can select one of the 6 stored stations on each hand by pressing any one of the number buttons 14.
During the playing mode you can select any track directly by using number buttons 14 (0~10+). For example, if you need the fifteenth track, you can first press button 10+ and then press button 5, the corresponding track 15 will be played.
Note: When button 10+ is first pressed, it works as 10+, it works as 20+ when pressed at the second time, the third time …30+, ... and the like.
In PCB playback mode, number button is not functional.
• Left/Right/Stereo selector
During the playing mode continuously press 15 (AUDIO) can change the sound to left / right speaker or stereo mode.
Note: There are 5 grades surrounding effect in surround mode. During VCD mode, you can see the different pictures indicating different effects on the television.
• Playing PCB (Menu)
During VCD mode only, when pressing 16 (PCB) button at the first time, PCB playback starts and the menu of entire disc appears on the television. And then you can select your favourite track by using number buttons 14 (0~10+). When a track is playing you can press 20 (STOP/RETURN) button to return to the menu if you want to stop to select other tracks. To cancel PBC playing, press 16 (PBC) button again.
• Subtitle selector
During DVD mode, press 17 (SUB-T) button to switch the menu to English, French, Chinese, Thai and Italian.
The languages depend on the disc inserted.
• Setting CD playback time
In VCD, CD mode press 18 (GOTO) key and set the time when you begin to play the track, and the televison will display the time “--:--“. Enter your desired time by pressing number button 14 (0~10+). For example enter: 25:00, press enter it will automatically start playing the track from point of the twenty-fifth minutes in the disc.
In DVD playing mode press 18 (GOTO) key once and input a desired track number, then press ENTER key to play the DVD from the position corresponding to the track number selected.
In DVD playing mode press 18 (GOTO) key and input a desired time with navigation buttons to play the DVD from the position corresponding to the time selected. For example press 18 (GOTO) key and the television will display the time --:--:--. Enter your desired time by pressing number buttons 14 (0~10+). Then press ENTER button, it will automatically start playing the track from point of your desired time in the disc.
Note: no time play function for MP3.
• Mode switch
Press 19 (MODE) button to switch to radio mode or playback mode.
• Stop the playback
In DVD mode press 20 ( ) button to suspend the playback and “press play to continue” shown on TV, press it again to stop the playback.
Note: In VCD, MP3 and CD mode press this key once to stop.
• Multi-angle key
In DVD playing mode, press 21 (ANGLE) key, you can watch the DVD content from different angle.
Note: In VCD, MP3 and CD mode it is not the function, this function depends on the disc inserted.
• Slow reverse/slow advance key
In DVD playing mode, press 22 (SLOW) key once for 1/2 slow advance, twice for 1/3 slow advance, third for 1/4 slow advance, fourthly for 1/5 slow advance, fifthly for 1/6 slow advance, sixth for 1/7 slow advance, seventh for normal playing.
In VCD playing mode, press 22 (SLOW) key once for 1/2 slow advance, twice for 1/3 slow advance, third for 1/4 slow advance, fourthly for 1/5 slow advance, fifthly for 1/6 slow advance, sixth for 1/7 slow advance. press 2 ( X ) key to cancel slow reverse / slow advance function.
Note: No function by MP3 and CD mode.

• Zoom key
In DVD, VCD playing mode press 25 (ZOOM) key once for 2x mode, twice for 3x mode, third time for 4x mode, fourthly time for 1/2x five times for 1/3x, six times for 1/4x, seven times to off.

1. Put in the mounting sleeve
2. Bend these claws outward for a tight fit, if necessary.

Detaching the front panel
Before detaching the front panel be sure to press xx. Press xx then turn the front panel to the level, slide it to the left, and pull it off towards you.

First, insert the left side of the front panel into the main unit. Push the right side of the front panel until it locks firmly into the main unit, at one time, insert the right side of the front panel into the main unit.

После того, как будет выбран тип программы PTY, радио начнет поиск PTY информации, который будет остановлен, когда эта информация будет найдена. Если информация по PTY найдена не будет, произойдет автоматическое переключение в обычный режим, радио подаст звуковой сигнал и на дисплее появится PTY NONE.
3. Выбор режима
Нажмите эту кнопку для выбора режима Radio (TUNER), DVD/VCD/CD/MP3 (S-CDP) & USB (USB--DRIV).
4. Переключатель диапазонов
При каждом нажатии на эту кнопку происходит переключение радио диапазонов. В зависимости от выбранного диапазона на дисплее появляется индикация "FM1", "FM2", "FM3", "MW1" или "MW2" .
5. Настройка P-EQ
Во время прослушивания популярной, классической или рок музыки вы можете настроить оптимальное качество звучания, нажав кнопку 5 (P-EQ).
Эта процедура выглядит следующим образом:
* При нажатии на кнопку 5 (P-EQ) сначала выбирается режим POP, а на дисплее появляется "POP".
* При повторном нажатии на кнопку 5 (P-EQ) выбирается режим ROCK, и на ЖКД появляется "ROCK" .
* Нажав на эту кнопку 5 (P-EQ) в третий раз, Вы выбираете режим Classic, и на дисплее высвечивается "CLAS".
* Четвертое нажатие на кнопку 5 (P-EQ) выключает систему P-EQ.
Примечание: Режимы Bass и Treble возвращаются к первоначальным установкам, когда включается система P-EQ , "BASS" и "TREBLE" исчезают с дисплея.
6. ST переключатель (AF-L/R)
Для переключения в режим MONO или STEREO нажмите и держите нажатой кнопку 6 (ST).
Когда на ЖКД появляется "ST" идет стерео вещание. На дисплее появится "yy".
Когда "ST" пропадает, происходит переключение в режим MONO.
В режиме плеера нажмите эту кнопку, для того чтобы включить левую колонку/правую колонку/стерео.
Кнопка AF
Альтернативные частоты. Радио автоматически выбирает альтернативную частоту с той же программой, но с лучшим приемом.
7. Кнопка громкости (TA)
Нажмите на эту кнопку, для того чтобы увеличить НЧ. Вы можете отрегулировать звук по своему желанию. На ЖКД появляется "LOUD" , включается режим громкости.
Нажмите на кнопку еще раз, чтобы отключить функцию LOU.
Кнопка TA
Программа Движение/Сообщения о ситуации на дорогах.
8. Регулятор громкости
Поворачивая кнопку против часовой стрелки, Вы уменьшаете громкость, а по часовой стрелке - увеличиваете.
9. Кнопка открыто/закрыто/Кнопка отсоединения панели
• Нажмите на эту кнопку, для того чтобы показать дископриемник на главной панели.
• Чтобы снять переднюю панель, нажмите на эту кнопку так, чтобы панель откинулась из вертикального в горизонтальное положение. Большим пальцем удерживайте кнопку сброса между 3 и 4, а другим пальцем держите рифленую пусковую кнопку позади передней панели во время снятия панели.
• Чтобы установить панель на место, установите ее в металлические направляющие, сдвиньте вниз и защелкните на месте.
10. Приемник дистанционного управления
Приемник для пульта дистанционного управления.

11. Настройка/Выбор треков
Ручная настройка: Нажмите и удерживайте кнопку 11 (xx или xx) для перебора станций вперед или назад соответственно.
Автоматическая настройка: Нажмите и удерживайте в течение не менее 3 сек. кнопку 11(хх или хх), радио автоматически будет производить поиск станций вперед или назад, а при нахождении станции включая их вещание.
12. Кнопка сброса
Включив устройство в первый раз или после замены аккумулятора, необходимо произвести перезагрузку системы. Нажмите на кнопку 12 (RES) заостренным предметом (например, шариковой ручкой) для переустановки системы на исходное положение.

• BASS - нажмите два раза на эту кнопку. Затем, поворачивая кнопку против часовой стрелки, Вы уменьшаете уровень НЧ, а по часовой стрелке - увеличиваете.
• TREMBLE - нажмите три раза на эту кнопку. Затем, поворачивая кнопку против часовой стрелки, Вы уменьшаете уровень ВЧ, а по часовой стрелке - увеличиваете.
• BALANCE - нажмите 4 раза на эту кнопку. Затем, поворачивая кнопку против или по часовой стрелке, отрегулируйте баланс правой и левой колонок.
• FADER - нажмите 5 раз на эту кнопку. Затем, поворачивая кнопку против или по часовой стрелке, отрегулируйте уровень сигнала передней и задней колонок.
• BRIGHTNESS - нажмите 6 раз на эту кнопку. Затем, поворачивая кнопку против часовой стрелки, Вы уменьшаете яркость, а по часовой стрелке - увеличиваете.
• CONTRAST - нажмите 7 раз на эту кнопку. Затем, поворачивая кнопку против часовой стрелки, Вы уменьшаете контрастность, а по часовой стрелке - увеличиваете.
• COLOR - нажмите 8 раз на эту кнопку. Затем, поворачивая кнопку против часовой стрелки, Вы уменьшаете уровень цвета, а по часовой стрелке - увеличиваете.
• SHARP - нажмите 9 раз на эту кнопку. Затем, поворачивая кнопку против часовой стрелки, Вы уменьшаете уровень резкости, а по часовой стрелке - увеличиваете.
• HUE - нажмите 10 раз на эту кнопку. Затем, поворачивая кнопку против часовой стрелки, Вы уменьшаете уровень насыщенности, а по часовой стрелке - увеличиваете.
15. Цифровые кнопки
Цифровые кнопки могут помочь вам сохранить настройки на избранные станции, назначив каждой такой станции отдельную цифровую кнопку. Вы можете выполнить следующие операции:
Во время приема вещания станции нажмите и удерживайте любую цифровую кнопку 15 (1-6) до тех пор, пока на ЖКД не появится "CH". Теперь станция сохранена под соответствующим номером.

Вставляя диск в дископриемник, придерживайте его. Механизм дископриемника автоматически включит режим воспроизведения DVD/VCD/CD/MP3.
18. Заданные станции/AMS
Настройка TV
Сначала нажмите на кнопку MODE, чтобы перейти в режим TV, затем нажмите "AMS" (Система автопамяти) для автоматического сканирования TV каналов, начиная с низких частот до высоких, теле каналы автоматически сохраняются в памяти. После выполнения автоматической настройки с помощью кнопок дистанционного управления выберите нужные каналы.
AMS РАДИО

• Для включения функции автоматического сохранения в памяти нажмите и удерживайте кнопку 18 (AMS) в течение не менее 3 секунд. Радио автоматически выберет станцию и сохранит ее под одной из цифровых кнопок 15 (1-6)
Примечание: Для каждого диапазона может быть сохранено до 6 станций. Подробнее о функциях цифровых кнопок см. раздел «15 цифровых кнопок».
19. USB порт
Для воспроизведения MP3 музыки через USB кабель (А) (входит в комплект поставки радио) к системе может быть подключена USB флэш-память (B).
20. SD-разъем
Придерживайте SD-карту, вставляя ее в SD-разъем. Механизм автоматически включит режим SD .
Примечание: не вставляйте одновременно SD-карту и USB флэш-память, иначе они не будут работать.
РАБОТА ДИСТАНЦИОННОГО УПРАВЛЕНИЯ
Замена батарейки (см. рис. хх)
• Когда сокращается диапазон действия пульта дистанционного управления или прекращают работать некоторые функции, замените батарейку. При замене батарейки соблюдайте полярность.
1. Нажав на стопор (1) извлеките батарейку из батарейного отсека.
2. Установите батарейку (+) вперед в держатель.
3. Вставьте батарейку в дистанционное управление.

• Переключатель Диапазон/Система

В режиме радио нажмите и удерживайте кнопку 8 (хх или хх) для ручного поиска станции вперед или назад соответственно; удерживая кнопку 8 (хх или хх) в течение не менее 3 секунд, радио автоматически начнет поиск станции вперед или назад соответственно до тех пор, пока не найдет станцию.
Во время режима воспроизведения нажмите и удерживайте кнопку 8 (хх или хх) для быстрого обратного или прямого поиска нужного трека.
Удерживая кнопку 8 (хх или хх), Вы можете выбрать нужный фрагмент по ходу трека в прямом или обратном направлении.
• Воспроизведение программ
В режиме CD, VCD Вы можете установить порядок воспроизведения программ, выполнив следующие операции:
Сначала нажмите кнопку 16 (PBC), затем кнопку 9 (PGM), телевизионный дисплей отобразит программирование P00:00. Вы можете установить порядок воспроизведения программ с помощью кнопки 14 (0~10+) и нажав 2 ( ) для воспроизведения.
Примечание: Программа не работает при воспроизведении MP3.
• Экранный дисплей
В режиме CD, VCD и DVD нажмите кнопку 10 (OSD). На дисплее будет показана фактическая продолжительность одного трека, оставшееся время воспроизведения или оставшееся время воспроизведения всего диска, воспроизводимый трек и количество треков на диске.
Примечание: В режиме OSD во время воспроизведения MP3 на дисплее отображается только фактическое время воспроизведения одного трека.
• Переключатель VOL/BAS/TRE/BAL/FAD
Поочередно нажимая на кнопку 11 (SEL) Вы выбираете нужный режим в следующем порядке:

• Повторное воспроизведение / AMS
В режиме DVD сначала нажмите кнопку 12 (AMS/RPT) для повторного воспроизведения текущего трека; нажмите ее еще раз для повторного воспроизведения всего диска. Третье нажатие на эту кнопку воспроизводит все с самого начала.

• Цифровые кнопки
В режиме радио вы можете выбрать одну из 6 сохраненных станций, нажав любую из цифровых кнопок.
В режиме воспроизведения вы можете выбрать любой трек, непосредственно нажав цифровые кнопки 14 (0~10+). Например, если Вы хотите воспроизвести 15-ый трек, вы должны нажать кнопку 10+ и 5. будет воспроизводиться соответствующий трек.
Примечание: Если сначала на кнопку 10+ один раз, она будет работать как 10+, если нажать на нее 2 раза, будет 20+, а 3 раза- 30+ и т.д.
В режиме воспроизведения PSB цифровые кнопки не работают.
• Переключатель левая/правая/стерео
Нажимая на кнопку 15(AUDIO) в режиме воспроизведения Вы можете переключать звук на левую/правую колонку или устанавливать режим стерео.
Примечание: В режиме объемного звучания есть 5 степеней эффекта объемного звучания. В режиме VCD вы можете просмотреть различные изображения, выбрав разные телевизионные эффекты.
• Воспроизведение PCB (Меню)
Только в режиме VCD нажав на кнопку 16 (PCB) один раз начинается воспроизведение PCB и на телеэкране появляется содержание всего диска. С помощью цифровых кнопок 14 (0~10+) Вы можете выбрать нужный трек. Для возврата в меню чтобы прекратить воспроизведение или выбрать другой трек, во время воспроизведения нажмите кнопку 20 (STOP/RETURN). Для отмены воспроизведения PBC нажмите еще раз кнопку 16 (PBC).
• Выбор субтитров
В режиме DVD нажмите кнопку 17 (SUB-T) для переключения языка меню на Английский, Французский, Китайский, Тайский и Итальянский.
Выбор языка зависит от диска, вставленного в дископриемник.
• Установка времени воспроизведения CD
В режиме VCD, CD нажмите кнопку 18 (GOTO) и установите время начала воспроизведения трека, на телеэкране отобразится время “--:--“. Введите нужное время, нажав цифровую кнопку 14 (0~10+). Пример ввода: 25:00, нажмите ввод и автоматически начнется воспроизведение трека с места, соответствующего 25 минуте на диске.
В режиме воспроизведения DVD нажмите 18 (GOTO) один раз и введите нужный номер трека, затем нажмите ENTER для воспроизведения DVD с места, соответствующего выбранному номеру.
В режиме воспроизведения DVD нажмите 18 (GOTO) и с помощью кнопок навигации введите нужное время для воспроизведения DVD с места, соответствующего выбранному времени. Например, нажмите кнопку 18 (GOTO) и на телеэкране появиться время --:--:--. Введите нужное время, нажав цифровые кнопки 14 (0~10+). Затем, нажмите кнопку ENTER и автоматически начнется воспроизведение трека с места, соответствующего выбранному времени на диске.
Примечание: для MP3 нет функции воспроизведение по времени.
• Переключатель режимов
Нажмите кнопку 19 (MODE) для переключения в режим радио или воспроизведения.
• Останов воспроизведения
В режиме DVD нажмите кнопку 20 ( ) для приостановки воспроизведения и на экране TV появится “press play to continue” («Для того чтобы продолжить нажмите воспроизведение»), для останова воспроизведения нажмите эту кнопку еще раз.

В режиме воспроизведения DVD нажмите кнопку 22 (SLOW) один раз для 1/2 замедленного прямого воспроизведения, два раза для 1/3 замедленного прямого, три раза для 1/4 замедленного прямого воспроизведения , после четвертого нажатия прямое воспроизведение будет выполняться на 1/5 скорости, пятое на 1/6 , шестое на 1/7 , а седьмое нажатие восстановит нормальный режим воспроизведения.
В режиме воспроизведения VСD нажмите кнопку 22 (SLOW) один раз для 1/2 замедленного прямого воспроизведения, два раза для 1/3 замедленного прямого, три раза для 1/4 замедленного прямого воспроизведения, после четвертого нажатия прямое воспроизведение будет выполняться на 1/5 скорости, пятое на 1/6 , шестое на 1/7. Для отмены замедленного обратного /прямого воспроизведения нажмите кнопку 2(Х).
Примечание: В режиме MP3 и CD эта функция не работает.
• Установочная кнопка
В режиме воспроизведения нажмите кнопку 23 (SETUP), на экране появится меню.
Нажмите кнопку 7 (ENTER) для подтверждения после выбора нужного содержания:

При выборе видео система может воспроизводить поочередно YUV TV-RGB, P-SCAN, YPBPR, S-VIDEO (см. рисунок)

УСТАНОВКА ЯЗЫКА: язык OSD, язык аудио, язык субтитров, язык меню, выход из меню установок. После выбора языка OSD система может выполнять воспроизведение на английском, китайском, немецком, испанском, французском, португальском языках (См. рисунок)
После выбора языка аудио, система может отображать на дисплее сообщения на китайском, английском, французском, испанском, португальском, немецком языках (См. рисунок)
После выбора языка субтитров, система может отображать на дисплее сообщения на китайском, английском, японском, французском, испанском, португальском, латинском, немецком языках и отключать опцию субтитров (См. рисунок)
После выбора языка меню, система может отображать меню на китайском, английском, японском, французском, испанском, португальском, латинском, немецком языках и отключать опцию меню (См. рисунок)
Для выхода, выберите выход из меню опций.
НАСТРОЙКА АУДИО: аудио выход, кнопку, выход из меню настроек
при выборе аудио выхода система отображает spdif/off, spdif/raw, spdif/pcm (см. рисунок)

НАСТРОЙКА ВИДЕО: яркость, контрастность, цвет, насыщенность, резкость, выход из меню настроек
выбрав Яркость можно отрегулировать яркость (см. рисунок)
Выбрав Контрастность можно отрегулировать контрастность (см. рисунок)
Выбрав Цвет можно отрегулировать цвет (см. рисунок)
Выбрав Насыщенность можно отрегулировать насыщенность (см. рисунок)
Выбрав Резкость можно отрегулировать резкость (см. рисунок)
ЦИФРОВЫЕ НАСТРОЙКИ: op mode, dyivamic range, dual moivo, выход из меню настроек.
При выборе OP MODE система предлагает LINE OUT (линейный выход) RF REMOD ( радиочастотный режим записи ) (см. рисунок)
В DYIVAMIC RANGE Вы можете выбрать DYIVAMIC RANGE, включая FULL, 6/8, 4/8 и 2/8 (см. рисунок)
В DUAL MOIVO системы предлагает выбрать STEREO, MONO L, MONO R и MIX MONO. (см. рисунок)
• Титульные кнопки
В режиме воспроизведения DVD, VCD нажмите кнопку 24 (TITLE) для отображения на телеэкране всех названий треков. Нажмите кнопку 14 (0~10+) или 4 (X /X /X/X) для выбора нужного номера трека и нажмите кнопку 7 (ENTER) или 2 ( X ) для начала воспроизведения.
• Кнопка масштабирования
В режиме воспроизведения DVD, VCD нажмите один раз кнопку 25 (ZOOM) для 2x-кратного увеличения, два раза для 3x-кратного, три раза для 4x-кратного, четыре раза для 1/2x кратного, пять раз для 1/3x-кратного, шесть раз для 1/4x-кратного, седьмое нажатие отменяет эту функцию.
Примечание: В режиме воспроизведения CD/MP3 эта функция масштабирования не работает.
УСТАНОВКА

1. Вставьте монтажное крепление
2. При необходимости отогните лапки в стороны для более прочной фиксации.
3. Зафиксируйте пружины с каждой стороны
Отсоедините переднюю панель
Прежде, чем отсоединять переднюю панель, не забудьте нажать хх. Нажмите хх и поверните переднюю панель в горизонтальное положение, сдвиньте ее влево и вытяните на себя.
Поставьте на место переднюю панель
Сначала вставьте левую сторону передней панели в базовое устройство. Толкните переднюю панель вправо, так чтобы она хорошо встала в базовое устройство, одновременно вставьте правую сторону переднее панели в базовое устройство.
Предостережение
Не касайтесь контактов на передней панели или на корпусе устройства, т.к. это может привести к загрязнению контактов. Если грязь или пыль попала на контакты, протрите их чистой сухой тканью.
