I have been in the translation market for 15 years now, and even though my collection of messages along the lines of "The client says translation quality has improved dramatically since we contracted your services" from agencies, "Reviewing your translation is a pleasure, not work" from proofreaders, and "I take my hat off to you, you are so talented and such a hard worker" from direct clients is already huge, I love to keep it growing anyway. ...my areas of specialization

Medicine. Medical equipment, instruments, procedures, MSDS, clinical trials, research reports, informed consent forms, patient information brochures and the like in dentistry (I used to be an in-house translator/interpreter at a dental center that comprised a clinic covering all dental specialties, a dental lab, wholesale and retail departments and a dental post-grad educational facility), ophthalmology, cardiology, virology, oncology, internal medicine, diabetes treatment and a few other areas of medicine. This is a demanding field where quality is a must, and it is due to my extensive experience and terminology research skills that I have been getting a steady inflow of medical translation jobs for over a decade now.

Computers and IT: Hardware (servers, cluster-based systems, mainframes, geographically distributed systems), software (open-source and proprietary solutions, banking applications, billing systems, web applications, telecom software, medical software, SaaS), networks (LAN, WAN, broadband wireless networks), complex solutions, virtualization technologies, data centers. In this area, I translate almost exclusively into English. This was where I started, the amounts were large at the beginning and have been growing ever since. As a result, the experience I have amassed over the years working for the biggest names in this industry is so impressive that now I tend to immediately become the supplier of choice whenever my clients need computer/IT translations.

Marketing, primarily for hotels, resorts, spa, luxury real estate, fashion, beauty, jewelry and a variety of other fields where style is a top priority. While providers of exquisite writing in English seem to be less scarce, in Russian the top league is tiny, and that is where I belong. I am among the best when it comes to producing beautiful texts matching the splendor of the world's most luxurious masterpieces.
