Seasoned Patent Translator/Editor with solid engineering and patenting background.

I am here mainly to help patent translators in their troubles with the peculiar language used in patent documents, so-called “patentese”, which typically comprises a mixture of highly specific technical terminology and legal jargon and is often written with the purpose of obfuscating the intended meaning.

My core business is providing patent expert and patent attorney services including but not limited to translating/editing patent-related documents like patent applications, patent office actions, responses to office actions, expert opinions, oppositions, responses to oppositions, citations, decisions of chambers, boards and courts, etc. I am an Expert Member of the Union of Translators of Russia.

My industrial experience prior to joining patent services area includes: six-year experience in designing combat control systems; three years in managing R&D and production of telecom equipment; four years in managing new product introduction projects and production operations (terminal products and communication network equipment); one plus year in managing large-scale telecom SW/HW deployment projects; one plus year in consulting providers of smart house solutions.

In view of patent matters, the most relevant fields of my engineering expertise are Electronics, Telecoms, Control Systems, and Information Technologies.
