I believe that translation involves much more than the possession of multiple languages - a good translator must also have a personal familiarity with the language he is translating. My personal and professional experience with languages includes a twelve year residence in Russia, sixteen year residence in the US and the past three years spent living in France. I have received a Bachelor's Degree in English from San Jose State University and a Master's Degree in Comparative Literature from Dartmouth College. During my years of study and the writing of my Master's thesis I have been involved in translating numerous literary, philosophical and critical texts. My professional experience also involves translation of letters, reports and a database for an international organization where I was employed as a program assistant.
