BBC article moved or taken offline Feb 4, 2015

If you google "The greatest mistranslations ever" you'll find traces of a BBC article from two days ago which since seems to have been moved or taken offline.

As neilmac says: "They were probably not all that shocking/amusing anyway." They rarely are.

It's back Feb 4, 2015

The 'Canali' on Mars that started a Science Fiction genre, Jimmy Carter's visit to Poland in 1977 and Kruschev supposedly threatening to 'bury the West' are among the stories.

Someone should remind the journalist of the difference between an interpreter and a translator...

But if they really think Google Translate's real-time app is going to change all that, just keep watching. I suspect this is just for starters as far as mistranslations are concerned.
