What type of education are these people supposed to have? Sep 20, 2013

What is terminology theory -- I have never heard of anything like that before. Shouldn't these people be highly educated linguist (linguists as in research linguists from philological or other there theoretical linguistics departments), who know a lot about etymology, word formation and phonology of language?
