Newmark's Information Translation Method

I'm doing a paper for school and I've been looking for information on Newmark's translation method, however, I can't find anything! Can anyone help me? I need characteristics of this technique and examples.

If you mean Peter Newmark, there is a volume called A Textbook of Translation that I have read and found useful. So if you can find it your country, I wouldn't hesitate recommending it. - The Publisher is Prentice Hall International in (UK) Ltd. that can be used for the order supplier.

I googled: newmark translation and got over 800,000 hits. I looked at a few sites and they were full of information. I guess you have to sort through the sites to find what you need.

FWIW, Googling for "Newmark's Information Translation Method" gives as its 8th result a PDF scan of Newmark's book, in which "information translation" occurs exactly twice (barring OCR errors), with no examples.
