One day I will Nov 5, 2016

I haven't really stopped to think about this in depth, yet, but I always thought of the day one of my hands or fingers will be bruised not allowing me to work, or other factors that may have the same effect. What would I do? I think this would be a solution, perhaps THE solution. So I'm still thinking about it.

I would definitely invest some time in seeing a specialist to receive proper diagnosis and therapy for aching fingers and wrists. No, painful fingers or wrists are not “normal” at any age.

Speaking is work Nov 5, 2016

To me, having to continually talk is work. It's one of the many reasons I prefer translating to interpreting. Moreover, I listen to music while I work, so that's another reason to not use speech recognition software.

I listen to music or radio programmes all the time when working and it doesn't affect my use of speech recognition SW. As long as it's just medium-level, background noise and not blasting out to wake the dead, it's not an issue.

CHROME BLACK SCREEN ISSUE SOLVED Nov 23, 2016

Update on my black screen issue with Chrome. It turns out there is a "web extension" for Dragon NS which you can install easily and it seems to have sorted out my black screen problem.
And it only took me several months to find out... (inserts embarrassed face icon)
