The Ultra-Filtration (UF) is a pressure-driven unit, in which the feed stream is forced to pass through porous semi-permeable membranes that retain larger molecules and let the smaller ones pass to the permeate side.
Filtration is performed by outside-in configuration and the permeate leaves the membranes through a central pipe and is collected to Filtered Water Tanks.
Rejected water from UF section is recycled back to Surface Water Accumulation Tanks to be further processed in the clariflocculation section of the Waste Water Treatment System.
