Open Excel file in Trados Studio with Cell settings

Hi all,

I have Excel file with 2000 cell. It is one column and 2000 rows. I want to open it in Trados Studio, so that I have only 2000 segments.
In my file, every cell contains more than one sentence separated by fullstops. As you know, Trados consider every single sentence as one segment.

I have tried with Files Types settings, but can not see such option available for Excel 2007.

Hi Ahmed,

Just change the segmentation on your TM to be used for paragraph based segmentation instead. With an excel file each cell is considered to a paragraph. So if you segment based on paragraph instead of sentence then you'll see the desired result.

You can find this ins Translation Memories -> Settings -> Language Resources -> Segmentation Rules. It's just a check box:
