Hi, everybody. I'm new to this forum. Please, forgive my blunders.

My customer has provided me with some .rtf files and a translation memory. When I try to open any of the files, the following message pops up:"The file contains more than one source and/or language. The languages appearing last in the file will be used".

I can open the files in TagEditor, but can't edit/translate them.

I'm desperate. Any solution or idea on how to solve this?

Correct language setting Dec 15, 2006

Hello,

open the rtf files in word and set the language in the rtf file to the correct source language.

The language combination in Tageditor and Memory must be the same if you want to translate the file.

AFAIK Tageditor is not intended to open RTF Dec 15, 2006

Save RTF as doc (this does not damage anything, against to what can happen if doc is saved as rtf) and translate the resulting doc. After that you can easily save doc as rtf.
At least this is the way I would go.
