Personally I have no interest in what others are doing, or how busy, creative, or versatile they are, and find no reason to brag about my latest assignment either. ▲ Collapse

I see that you were able to make the WIWO box visible to you in your profile again, Axelle.
In the future, you can toggle personal visibility of this feature by using the options Hide WIWO from me (to hide it from you) and Show "what I'm working on" (WIWO) options. (to see it again).
Now, to make it publicly visible click on Show publicly option at the bottom of the box.
Please let me know how it goes.

It's not you, Kathryn. I can't see my total word count either, but only the word count per project.
Edit: I can still see the total count if i click on "force visitor view", but not in "owner view".

Thanks for bringing that to my attention, Kathryn and Elena. It looks like total word count data was made invisible in the recent update.
I will ask developers to restore it. Sorry for the inconveniences.

Hello again, everyone.
I just wanted to let you know that the visibility of total word count data has been restored and it should be visible to you now on the WIWO box available at the top of your profile pages.
Remember that, just as with the entire WIWO box, you can change visibility settings for this number only by clicking on the two small arrows next to it.

Could somebody explain to me if and how participating in this feature improves profile or directory listing please? I have never really taken it up, and do not understand the purpose of it.

Outsourcers who search the ProZ.com directory can include keywords used in public "What I'm working on" post as a search option and even limit their search by WIWO usage, that is, they can choose to see language professionals who have used the WIWO feature to report working on projects in the past day, week or month.

I know, images are probably good for SEO, but in the WIWO feed on the main page they just take up space without offering significant information and they disrupt the readability of the page.
