I started translating roughly twelve years ago. I am particularly skilled at drafting and translating marketing copy, but I also have extensive experience of translating legal documents. Other areas include medicine (dosing cards, medical records, ...etc), PR, business, finance, and fashion.
Languages
Being bilingual, I focus on qualitative translations from Swedish to British English and vice versa. On occasion, I also translate from French/Norwegian/Danish to Swedish/English.
Professional experience
After five years of legal studies at the Gothenburg School of Economics and Law, I spent six years working as a paralegal in a US law firm in Brussels and London. I then decided to move in a different direction and spent the following three years working with marketing and business development in the City of London. I later spent two years working as a Project Manager and Deputy Operations Manager at a Swedish translations agency. I now run my own small business, Jolianna Communications, with translations as one of the focal areas.
