I just had a computer stolen and my backup routine was not great. As I still have the original files and the translations in my e-mail in and out boxes, I was wondering if it is possible and if anyone has experience creating a wordfast memory from the original and a translated document. In my case they are Power Point.

But fortunate that you have your original files and translations.

You could try the Wordfast alignment tool, which is accessible through Wordfast Anywhere from www.freetm.com where you can log-in with your existing Wordfast Anywhere account user name and password (its free to make a new account if you don't already have one).

I often use Wordfast's own PlusTools (http://www.wordfast.net/zip/ptools.zip) to align source and target documents, but that is with Word files. I don't think it can work with PPT files.

Still, if you can convert the PPT text into plain text, so that it can be opened in Word, that would be a solution.

I am in the process of downloading some of the originals and tanslations ... even if it's tedious, if it works it's well worthy it.
