Hi colleagues,
Is there a way to get the word count of untranslated parts in a partially translated document using WordFast Pro?
Thanks

Use the "bilingual review" feature to export the translation to a two column MS Word file.
Remember that the MS Word word count counts the entire table if you select only one column in the table.

Would that still work if you've pretranslated the file, since the target column would be populated by a mix of translated and pretranslated/unconfirmed segments?
If you've been confirming your translated segments with alt+down, you could also just run an analysis on the partially translated file. The 100% matches (or difference in 100% matches from when you started) will tell you how many source words you've translated, from which you can pretty closely deduce the number of target words translated.

Rudolf, you are right about the mixture. I can review the document in MS Word but I will have to count the untranslated parts segment by segment. Although this is boring, time consuming in case of large documents, and possibly inaccurate, it still can be done.
