Urgent: wordcount for similar texts

A potencial client wants me to offer a prize for the translation of four texts with similar content. He comments to "do the wordcount with Trados because the texts are very similar". I do not have Trados, but am just getting started with Wordfast. Is there an option to do the wordcount as commented with that program? Thank you!

Just run an analysis in Wordfast (Classic or Pro): the analysis report will indicate the number of repeated segments, which should be very close to the number of repetitions in a report produced by Trados. Likewise, the total word counts should be very similar. Just ask your client to run an analysis and compare the results with what you would get in Wordfast.

28 files for analysis Dec 14, 2011

I have a similar issue, but in my case I have like 28 files for analysis for the same project and Wordfast says it cannot handle more than 20 files at a time. If I split them, then the result will not be accurate because it will not take the total "repetitions" and "no matches" into consideration. Does anybody have any clues how to go about this?

Clinton, are they Word files?
If so, just merge the extra Word files into one, to bring the number to 20.
In Word 2007, create a blank file, then Insert>Object>From file, select the files to merge.
This will work fine for analysis purposes.
