Hi everybody,

Please take a look at the following headline from a marketing blog:

"Folgers tunes in classic rock to try to perk up brand"

Having read the blog article, I know that the company Folgers switched its jingle, the new one being classic rock. Only thing that makes me wonder is why the headline does not say:

"Folgers tunes in to classic tro try to perk up brand"

Do native speakers miss the preposition also?

Well, I don't live in (the backwoods somewhere in) Wales, so who even knows if I'm a native speaker?! Especially since I don't live in a country of my own, mostly because—and I know this will shock any true native English speakers—but I don't even own a country of my own in the first place.

What even is a native speaker *hur dur nyah nyah* and can one ever be one unless one is a pretentious lonely twerp using a job marketplace platform as social media?!

Would even a native speaker ever display such redundant usage of one? Well, of course not! Since any reasonable linguist knows grammar and innate understanding of the language are one and the same! And how many times a day must someone come to this forum to try and convince us all of their superior translation skills and extremely high rates before we deem them a native?!
