For my translation homework I need to provide methodology and references. I'm not entirely clear on how to do it properly. I have to fill in the following:
Source text - translation - question/ comment
(im guessing this first section is why I've translated it this way)
Reference source - details
(what are the details I need to provide for the reference source?)
I would be very grateful if someone could talk me through it.
Thanks!

The wording of the assignment as you describe is too brief to be clear. I think you should ask your teacher for some clarification.

Also, they usually tell you which kind of referencing they follow (for example, APA) as they are different ways of referencing.
You should ask for some more explanations.
Good luck!
