For example, translation of manga might often try to retain the feel of the original more. If it's a literary graphic novel (something like Maus), then it's got to be a full literary translation.

The query sounds to me like something only someone on a translation course would ask. In fact, I'm not sure I really understand it. I have never translated a graphic novel or comic myself, but I imagine that a main area of difficulty might be the cultural background of the source and target audiences. For example, a lot of meaning in V for Vendetta relies on knowledge of Guy Fawkes and that period of English history, as well as current political trends.

Locatization, because there are a lot of topics which need to be translated in the TL. But obvioulsy it depends on the graphic novel we are translating.

I translated comics (games) EN>TH and did Google Search for contexts and wording. It saved me a lot of translation time.
