Hi, On and off I use WF 5 in my small and medium projects with no problems. Recently I decided to try WF 6 (Wordfast Version: 2.1.8, Build id: 20081231-1411) I liked the conception and new possibilities, but, as usually, there are a few buts. I encountered an annoyance with Unicode (EN>RU) while using my old TMs from WF5 in WF6. It produced ‘garbled’ matches regardless of Workspace> Text file encoding values. Do you mean, you’ve tried a WF5 TM in Unicode and it did not work? Or your TM was ANSI-encoded?
Hope it is not a demo limitation.
If you have a valid license for WF5, you can easily obtain a license for WF6 with the same validity period.

Hi esperantisto, nice to meet you.

Well, like this: My old unicode TMs (EN>RU) from WF4/5 produced 'garbled' matches when used in the new WF6 Probably I should had it exported first but not assigned directly.
If you have a valid license...
It's a pity but I cannot see the point here, so if this is not a demo limitation then I can use WF6 on. Anyway, thank you.
Cheers.

Dear Hillary.
I appreciate your concern and it would be nice of you, but as it reads earlier
I had to create a new one
That wasn't a big deal for I have TMs with just some 500 TU.
The only thing to note is that I've got a system with Ukrainian MUI at home and Russian locale at the office. Should the issue persist we shall cope with it together
Cheers.
