Welcome and thank you for your interest in this webinar.

In order for you to get the most out of this sessions, please note the following:

Live comments on CVs/cover letter exercise
Please send your material to [email protected] no later than Feb 6th.
Please include "WEBINAR CV + COVER LETTER" in the subject of your e-mail and specify you agree to have your material discussed over the live session.

All the documents & information within will be presented anonymously - no sensitive data will be shown. On this note, I will appreciate if you could take the time to take any sensitive data (such as phone number, e-mail address, home address etc.) out of your CV/résumé before sending it.

Cover letter exercise
If you're planning to participate in the cover letter exercise, please send your sample to [email protected] no later than Feb 6th.
Please note that the exercise is designed to reflect the style and tone of a typical job offer - for the purpose of the exercise, please assume all the details of the job offer (source/target language, specialty field, delivery deadline) match your skills and schedule.

Please find below the sample job offer:

"Dear linguists, we have a 1,500 words document to be translated from X (your source language) to Y (your target language) by Monday morning. The document is about XXX (your specialty field). Please e-mail to XXXXXXX with your contact details, most competitive price and CV. Thank you."

Time restrictions
Our time will be limited, so it will not probably be possible to cover all of your CVs and all of your samples during the live session.
However, all participants will receive customised feedback & advice on their material - either during the session or privately via e-mail afterwards.

In case of any questions, please feel free to drop a note on this thread.

Kind regards,
Alessandra
