\"Losing\" my login...?

Having logged in under my username, the status is frequently lost when changing to other parts of the site (e.g. from the main page to the KudoZ page). Not only do I have to log in again, but in between the display does not reflect my settings (e.g. language pairs).



...probably a settings issue with my browser? I use MSIE 5.5 SP1 under WinNT 4.0/SP5 (German).
