Hi everyone,
I sent a proofreading task to a translator who is in Italy.
He sent me his invoice and charges 4% for what he calls "fonds de prévoyance". He told me it was compulsory Under Italian law.
Does anyone know anything about it?
Thanks
LAetitia

His invoice should be in Italian and should say "Fondo di Previdenza". The 4% is a pension contribution and I believe it is optional, not compulsory. However I suggest you ask your question in the Italian forums, or ask an Italian colleague.

It is definitely optional May 26, 2015

Therefore he should have informed you about that before sending his invoice.
