English Institute in Quito for 2 years,after that I started teaching in a Kindergarden but later I was giving private classes only,I have lived with foreigne...rs for the past 13 years which has been a blessing, not only for improving my language skills but for understanding English speakers as well,culture is a great part of our identity and the more I learn about it makes me a confident translator .I had a chance to visit the States for 3 months 10 years ago, which help me to be familiar with daily life in the US.It really widened my understanding of americans,it's not the same how they speak in California than NY or Alabama,y'all understand that,don't ya?...(One of my roomates is from Georgia).In 1994 I was doing voluntary work in the jungle and that's where I got interested in Quechua,I loved the indian culture I wanted to learn about it,I fullfilled that goal in the year 2000 when I moved to Otavalo(an indian city) in order to learn the language,I have worked with the indian communities for years so I feel comfortable in this language as well as I do in English.I have been a Spanish teacher since I moved to Otavalo also,I have helped dozens of foreigners to learn Spanish while they're adapting to a new culture,many have moved to live in Ecuador since it's been graded as number one country to retire by different websites(last 4 o 5 years),so that's some info about me,hope I can learn more at this event.More Less Message: Rinrita paskay ,alli entendinkapak,yachakushunchik!!!!! |
