It used to be 2/3 days between projects. Lately, there has been a marked decline in demand and I was once or twice 9 days without work.

without the single, tiniest assignment registered.
Small and scarce jobs don't pay the bills anyway. I invoiced half my usual amount in December and January with only one week off, and February will be business as usual.
In the grander scheme of things, I fear my "new normal" will be a significantly lower turnover starting from 2025. Or perhaps I'll have a ground-breaking idea to monetize my many other talents. But for the time being, I am starting to monitor old ladies with handbags... See more

Never have no work Feb 14

I never have time with no work, because when there are no jobs to be done I do marketing.

So I am always either producing or marketing, which is work and part of the business.

Retirement beats working, hands down!

At least for as long as there are enough folk working hard to keep the world economy afloat and maintain the flow of monthly pension income into my piggy-bank.
