Penalties and attributes in Wordfast Pro 3

Hello
I've been using WF Pro since long time but I have never understood what are penalties in the TM preferences and the different boxes to be checked/unchecked.

And specifically, what is an attribute and the box "if attribute is not" / "if filename attribute does not match"

I think this can be very important when using TMs, especially large TMs.

When a segment you are translating has a TM match, the match has a certain value -- it can be a 100% match, or a 79% match, or a 55% match, etc.
In Wordfast 4, this match percentage value is called the "score", and it is displayed in the translation window.

The numbers you see in the penalties preferences window will change this score.
For example, when you activate the box "local TM" and set the value to 5, a 100% match from a local TM will only be shown with a score of... See more
