Hello, my PC suffered a crash while I was working with a document in Wordfast. Now I want to open it and I get the following message from worfast "invalidad document format detected" (Wordfast pro:latest version). Is there anything I can do to recover the file? The TM does not seem to be updated and I have many missing TUs.
HELP!!!!

Files to check, please!

Dear German,
The TM should be always the ultimate restore.
Well, could you please send me the TXML file, the source document, and the TM to check. Many thanks in advance!
Kind regards,
Yasmin (WF)

AutoSave

Dear German,
Thanks for sending the files. I have checked the TXML file, and I am afraid it is empty indeed.
There is a suggestion that you can try as you say the machine crashed while you was working with Wordfast. Could you please check in the AutoSave folder if you can find the TXML file; it should be in a path like this while "UserName" is that on your machine:

If so, first of all, copy it into another location (this is a must), and then open the copied version in Wordfast Pro to check it.

No Files
Sep 26, 2014
Dear German,
Do you mean there are no files in the AutoSave folder?
As for the TM, when you open the TM in a text editor, can you find the segments? Or when you use TM Lookup in Wordfast Pro.
Anyhow, please make sure you use the TM with Alt+Down during translation to avoid such loss again.
Kind regards,
Yasmin
