I am trialling wordfast pro but am having problems saving my translated file. Previously this has not been problem, I have selected this option and the software has simply produced my English translation (I am working from French-English) in the original document format. Now it is saying it cannot save the document because the original file cannot be located. Any help would be much appreciated. Sue

Did you actually import the actual original source document into Wordfast Pro, or were you supplied a TXML? You can only save the translated file if you have the original source file on your computer.

Hi Dominique
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I was sent the file as a word document and imported this into Wordfast.

In that case, you should be able to point to the source document when saving the translated file. If that doesn't work, try the following trick:
1. In Word, save your DOC as DOCX (or vice versa, depending on what format it was).
2. Open the new document in Wordfast Pro (as DOCX, if it was previously DOC, or vice versa)
3. Retranslate it (should be very fast, since all your translations should be in the TM)
4. Try again to save the translated file
