G'day everyone
I tried to open a very large file in WFP, and then got the message that I must allocate more memory in the Preferences. So I did just that. WFP says that it must restart, and it tried... but now I get an error saying:
Java Virtual Machine Launcher
X: Could not create the Java virtual machine
...followed by this monster:
So I guess I must find a way to reduce my memory allocation in WFP again... but how do I do that without using WFP itself?

Open wordfast.ini
Jun 21, 2013
Locate a file called "wordfast.ini" on your computer, open it with notepad or another text editor and look for the line that reads (I imagine you gave it the max memory 1470 MB)
-Xmx1470m
change it to read
-Xmx1024m
save the file and open Wordfast.
That should have solved the problem, if not you can allocate lower memory resources: 256 MB or 512 MB, which would be respectively
-Xmx256m
-Xmx512m
