For some time I have had problems when shutting down Word 2010. It always wanted to save Normal.dot. I had to click many times Cancel or Don't save before I could restart the computer.
So I thought the problem lay perhaps at Wordfast. I had been using version 5.7x for the last two years.
Now I downloaded the newest version of WFC. I first put the dot-file into the Startup folder of Word, where the older version had been (renamed Wordfast.5).

Then I started Word 2010. But no Wordfast-icon in Add-ins-menu, only PlusTools and others.
Then I read the quick installation guide. I tried to double click Wordfast.dot. The page loaded where it says "If installation does not start...". Nothing happened.
Then I moved Wordfast.dot to another folder and double-clicked again. The same page opened. After some time I hit Alt-Cntrl-W. Then a box appeared saying the installation was successful. But after re-starting Word no Wordfast icon!
The trust-center settings are as they should be.

Word needs to be closed for you to be able to copy wordfast.dot to its Startup folder.

As I told in my initial posting wordfast.dot is in the Startup folder. It still is. But it does not show up in Add-ins-menu. I followed all the instructions available.
Old Wordfast still functioned before I tried to install the new version.

In File > Options > Advanced, check that Word has the same idea as you about the location of its Startup folder:



Also check the Wordfast template hasn't been added to the list of disabled items:

I don't know what helped, but now Wf toolbar is back.
