Hi,
I use two displays: a 22" VDU hooked up to a regular 15,6" portable PC.
Because of a difference in screen resolutions, things get out of control, literally, i.e. they move to an undisplayed area of the other screen. Because the top of the window where you can grab and move the window is hidden (beyond the visible part of the smaller display), there is nothing I can do. This way it takes a lot of changing screen layouts and outputting display to just one, to be able to use the dat

I dunno if this is a purely Windows thing. It seems to me it did occur with other applications, though this is particularly stubborn.

Multiple displays Aug 2, 2012

What kind of setup do you have for your displays: is your external display configured as an extension of the internal display of your laptop, ie. you can drag a window from your internal display and it will move to the external display? Or does your external display duplicates what's on your internal display? In the latter case, you should set your resolution to the higher resolution of the external display, and forget about the internal display.

I only have limited experience with multiple display setups, but I can't seem to remember I've had particular problems with the data editor. In any case, I believe Wordfast has limited control over the placement of the data editor window in a multiple display setup. VBA is a very old language, created at a time when multiple display setups were pretty rare.

Some answers from the developer Aug 3, 2012

I forwarded your post to the WFC beta list, and here are some answers straight from the horse's mouth:

There are various possible locations for an external monitor, usually, left or right of the primary display. He can try having the monitor on the other side, using the Windows setup (right-click desktop, properties). I sort of guess his monitor is to the right side, and has a super large resolution. I'll have to widen the scope of possible positions.

*An OT tip for when applications disappear. For example, you use a large monitor, then are away from it and use the tiny laptop display. You start Word and it's off-boundaries. That can get pretty frustrating. Press Alt+Spacebar then Down then Enter (that's "Move window"). Move the window with arrow keys, press Enter.
