Hello,
A customer is offering me a choice of payment methods.
Would anyone know if the ACH Deposit on a US bank account is more advantageous than a Wire Transfer?
Since I am based in France, I imagine it would be possible to make an ACH deposit on a $ account number generated on Wise.
Thank you in advance for your help.

It is my understanding that an automated clearing house deposit is slower but much cheaper.

Absolutely. I do ACH from a US client into my USD Wise account every month (via Veem, which is configured to forward all funds automatically to my USD Wise routing/account number at no cost). Wire costs a fortune, so I avoid it. I wanted to say I avoid it at all cost, but that would be nonsense. 😂
This way, I receive the full USD payment without any fees. Only when I change it to EUR does it cost around 0.5%, and if you choose the moment to change wisely by observing the market rates, you can end up gaining a few hundred dollars/euros a year (depending on volume, of course).
It takes 3-4 banking days for ACH to clear, but that's an inconvenience worth accepting.
