Russian to English Other Military / Defense
Just checking if there is an "official term" for this. What I have now is "region where exercises are being conducted."

The term occurs a number of times in an agreement between countries conducting joint anti-terrorist exercises.

Принимающая Сторона определяет ***район проведения учений*** и создает условия для:
--выработки замысла учений...


Участники учений направляющей Стороны в период нахождения в ***районе проведения учений*** вправе на территории принимающей Стороны хранить, носить, использовать и применять специальные средства

Например:

neutral Angela Greenfield : "maneuver area" in my mind associates either with World War II or with the part of the airport for taxiing aircraft (aircraft maneuver area or aircraft marshalling area).
