Antidote 8

If you translate into French or from French, one tool that is absolutely necessary is Antidote. Not only does it correct your usual grammar or typing mistakes, its various dictionaries help with finding "the right word". A few specs: 122,000 words, 1,000,000 synonyms, 900,000 cooccurrences, 9 000 verbs. Eleven linguistic guides with an analysis of your text for syntax, punctuation, style and more. There's a lot more, but that's all I can cover here, such as correcting your emails BEFORE you send them out and making sure that attachments are really attached to those messages. Furthermore, it functions under Windows, Mac and Linux, so the version is not a problem
