Le long métrage sera composé de dix films courts, réalisés par dix cinéastes. À partir d’un dispositif prédéfini, chaque réalisateur aura carte blanche pour faire son film. Les lettres, les mots qu’elles contiennent sont le point de départ pour des films qui seront documentaires, hybrides, poétiques, indéfinissables. Nous aurons des objets filmiques variés, à l’image de ceux qui écrivent les lettres, mais aussi comme de ceux qui réalisent les courts- métrages. Chaque film montrera un lieu et un univers différent, mais dans un cadre précis et rigoureux. Le choix des lettres (ou de leurs fragments) et leur position dans le long métrage sera la base pour créer une structure dramatique générale. Un fil entre les petits films sera construit, comme un scénario invisible, afin qu’ils dialoguent et se complètent. La rencontre invisible entre ceux qui écrivent à Lula et les cinéastes, est au cœur de ce projet. Quelles images, quelles sensations, quel Brésil émergera de cet échange ? | Translation - English
The feature film will be made of ten short films, directed by ten filmmakers. Using pre established equipment, each director will have free rein to make his/her own film. The letters, the words used are the starting point for the films that will be hybrid poetic undefinable documentaries. We will have a variety of film objects, reflecting both the authors of the letters and those who make the short films. Each film will show a different place and universe, but within a precise and rigorous frame.
The selection of letters (or its fragments) and their position in the feature film will serve as the ground for building a dramatic general structure. There will be a thread between each short film, just like an invisible scenario, so as they dialogue and complement each other. The invisible encounter between the authors of the letters and the filmmakers is at the heart of this project. What images, what sensations, what Brazil will then emerge from this encounter |
