Translation - English On March 31, 1985, Canon made the decision to develop a camera system that would become the key strategy for its autofocus (AF) SLR cameras. At the decision-making meeting, leaders and engineers of Canon’s marketing subsidiaries and affiliates from around the world gathered to discuss about the development of the system. It took only two years to accomplish this major development project, which was then named the “Entirely Organic System*”. Two years later on March 1, 1987, the day that marked the 50th anniversary of Canon’s inauguration, the EOS 650, the very first EOS SLR camera, was launched. Introduced on this camera was a newly-developed EF mount. The name “EF”, which stands for electro focus, emphasises the adoption of a fully-electronic focusing technology. The use of a new mount is equivalent to starting a new company and making a camera from scratch, which was a big gamble indeed.

Translation - English The awareness and expectations toward the sustainability of the environment, society and governance have risen on a global scale, as represented by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) advocated and adopted by the United Nations in recent years. Such a trend has led to the formation of a widespread view in the market toward ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) investment that seeks concrete efforts toward ESG from companies, and has a growing impact on the investment activities of not only the institutional investors, but also those of individuals. Meanwhile, companies that are receiving investments are required to come up with strategic responses toward ESG investments.

Bio
I believe I do best at what I like because I find joy in doing it.
Language and communication are what I like.
Translation and interpretation are not merely substituting one language, word for word, with another.
Establishing mutual communication and understanding is the ultimate goal (in most cases), so besides being equipped with the ability to write and speak a foreign language, a translator (interpreter) also needs to understand the speaker's intentions and convey them to the readers (listeners) correctly and tactfully.
To do so, the translator (interpreter) must possess a good level of communication skills and also proper knowledge of the culture of the speakers in order to convey the right message according to the context.
